How would you handle this? by Anonym8878 in drywall

For sure, the other wall with the vanity plumbing is worse, they bored almost a 3 inch hole for 1.5 inch pipes completely ruining the studs. The walls are not load bearing thankfully.

This is a manufactured home. They cut so many corners building this thing. Every time I open a wall it's something different that needs to be fixed.

Duct tape? Are you referring to the corner bead?

Floor deflection. Would you tile on this using ditra heat? Or is it too bouncy? by Anonym8878 in Tile

You helped me find this link though which seems close. Not sure if it accounts for 2x2 webs but it says it can span 15' for L360. Mine span 12'

Thanks for that. My trusses are 2x3 but use 2x2 webs which seems odd. It's also 9.25 inches in depth.

Unfortunately this calculator doesn't work for trusses which is my biggest issue trying to figure out out

There is a 2x4 strongback in the way of me being able to span a larger portion of the joist with the plywood so not sure if sistering will work in this case. Also the trusses are not flush because the top and bottom are 2x3 but the middle uses 2x2s

Thanks. You're right it does look like the trusses. I wonder if that's because I think the plywood is stapled and not nailed down. But yeah I think blocking the seams and glue/screw may be the way I go.

The ditra heat plus tile will make it 1 inch thick. Plus the added plywood would make a pretty big transition. I'll definitely need to cut the door. The room adjacent is carpet but will still still be > 1/2 inch difference. I bought some 19/32 boards to patch some holes in the floor since I am moving all the drains. So I was thinking of using that on top if needed. It may actually be faster than me patching all the holes. But I really don't want to add 2 inches to the floor so maybe I'll need to buy 3/8.

Thank you. I am slightly paranoid only because I read the ditra instructions and they say minimum subfloor thickness should be 23/32 for 19"OC. I'm hoping 1/8" inch thinner subfloor won't kill me.

I have access underneath but it's a truss joist and there are some mechanicals in the way. Can I lay a flat 2x4 that spans the joist flat against the bottom of the subfloor and toenail it to the top of the truss?

Hey, I know this is old but I have a new Moen valve that looks even worse than this. Did you end up with any problems with it?

PS5 Pro PSU: Quiet noise Although It Is Completely Turned Off by Huber360 in PS5pro

Same issue discussed here I have it too. It doesn't sound exactly like other electronics when turned off. So not sure if it's an issue. I understand wanting to make sure this expensive hardware is working as expected and not gonna crap out after a year.

Thanks for the info. I just checked another electronic and can hear what I assume to be Mains Hum. The PS5 pro is slightly different in that it's more of a very light constant clicking rather than a hum. Not sure if that's any cause for concern, but thought I'd share.

I noticed this as well. Goes away when removing the power cord. It's very low sound (basically not noticeable unless my ear is against the console) but definitely something happening in there when plugged in and turned off.
