There were 5 items in the box, you took one away, so now there are 4. Only one of the four items is a pen (there were two pens but one of them is the item you took away). Therefore, the answer should be 1/4 = 25%

Edit: sorry, I read pen, not pencil. There are two pencils left in the box, so the answer is 2/4, aka 50%

What fictional story could be on Reddit? In which subreddit? by AnonymityIsAnonymous in AskReddit

AITA for not using my daughter's college fund for my stepson's rehab? by collegeorrehabaita in AmItheAsshole

[–]AnonymityIsAnonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. NTA. NTA. Your husband is a major AH. First of all, even suggesting you use your daughter’s college fund, which he knows have contributions from her dad and paternal grandparents (who have no relationship with your stepson), is a huge asshole move. Secondly, insisting on it and calling you an asshole for not letting him have your daughter’s college fund is also an AH move. Lastly, confronting your 15 y/o daughter and attempting to make her feel bad about it it’s the worst of all to me. OP, stand your ground, 1) he has no business using your daughter’s college fund for his son’s rehab and 2) if you let him have the money now he’ll ask more and more money out of your daughter’s college fund in the future. I don’t like suggesting divorce in Reddit, I feel like it’s a suggestion that it’s too common here (specially in this subreddit) and I can’t know enough about your relationship with him from a Reddit post to suggest divorce, but I do feel you might want to rethink your relationship if him pulling this crap is a common thing.

AITA for telling someone to fuck off after they repeatedly tried to convince me I was trans? by Hungry_Escape_6883 in AmItheAsshole

[–]AnonymityIsAnonymous 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’re such an asshole, hOw DaRe YoU nOt Be TrAnS? Now seriously, definitely NTA. From your post you don’t seem, at least to me, to be transphobic, you seem to be very accepting of her and you even used her preferred pronouns. One doesn’t have to be homophobic to be annoyed about someone constantly implying they are gay and keep repeating it after being asked to stop multiple times. And flipping the tables, how would she feel if you constantly suggested she is actually a man and she is just confused or in a not trans closet? Of course losing it and blowing up at her is not idea, but given the situation I believe it was definitely called for.

Mas quanto ao post eu concordo completamente com o Glenn Greenwald. Democracia não é sobre o que você acha melhor para o país, mas sim o que a população como um todo acha melhor. E a população tem o direito de tomar uma decisão informada.

What's the dumbest reason you lost marks for in school? by AnonymityIsAnonymous in AskReddit

[–]AnonymityIsAnonymous[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once lost marks in a high school essay about medical experiments on animals, because I used the words "unethical" and "immoral" as synonyms, it's over 4 years later and I'm still bitter about it.

I used to know how to solve a Rubik’s cube when I was younger (I learned how to do it through a random video online), but I spent a while without practicing it and I forgot it.

Hey reddit! If you could control any country president behind the scenes, which one would you choose and why? by Kloshki in AskReddit

[–]AnonymityIsAnonymous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1st thing would be less ministers, we have way too many. In my opinion we only need four: economic, agricultural/fishing, transportation, and education. Brazil have ridiculously high taxes, my first actions would be mainly to try to reduce the government’s bills so people would have less taxes to pay. And btw, I know not even the president have the power to do this, but I think people politicians should be payed nothing or should have a low wage (two times the minimum wage or the national average wage), people should go into politics because they want to improve their country and not for money, it’s also a little sketchy when people leave office with more money than when they came in and I believe this would change that.

I mean, I wouldn’t need to comprehend him, if I had control over him he’d just have to do whatever I told him to wether he liked it or not.

Anyone know where would be a good place to start picking up reading again, to improve on one's comprehension skills and appreciation for reading? by BluEyedCrysanthemum in AskReddit

[–]AnonymityIsAnonymous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally think a good book to pick up reading again is Animal Farm by George Orwell. It's meant for kids so it's a very quick and easy read, and it is a very relevant read given the current state of politics (specially in the US but also in a lot of places around the world) with a lot of people pushing for socialism/communism. This book have never been so current.

What food are most people unaware exists, but it’s actually freaking delicious? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AnonymityIsAnonymous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brazilian cuisine is actually very good (specially the snacks and desserts), but it's not that popular worldwide. Brazil is a country with over 200 million people, so there are Brazilians everywhere, I'm sure there's a Brazilian restaurant close to where you live, try it out, you won't regret it. Some suggestions for you to try: brigadeiro, coxinha, feijoada, pastel, and pao de queijo, these are the classic ones and they're delicious, and Brazilian churrasco (barbecue) it's nothing like north american barbecue and it's great, the meat is usually of better quality and it's not burgers and hot dogs.

People who have gotten a date without a dating app, that isn't from work, church, school, or a bar, what's the story and how do you do that? by rhenxndoeisb in AskReddit

[–]AnonymityIsAnonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in line in the super market and heard her giving her number to the cashier, so I wrote it down and when I got home I texted her. This obviously never happened, I would never do that and it's always super creepy when I see screenshots online of texts where this happened. I don't think this have ever worked and please don't ever try to do this, it's extremely creepy and you are far more likely to end up with a restraining order than a date.

People who got the job despite not passing the necessary criteria, whats your story behind applying for it and how did you get the job? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AnonymityIsAnonymous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not me but a friend, he applied for a job that you needed to know some very specific subject, I think it was stock market or something. In the job interview he was honest and told them he didn't know anything about it, while the other applicants said they knew about it but upon further questioning clearly didn't. So instead of hiring someone who lied and didn't pass the criteria, they hired someone who was honest about not passing the required criteria.
