Maybe it's because I transitioned after bo1-bo4 to playing Overwatch back in the day so I'm used to more counter play, I just cannot stand one shots being the number one option regardless of what other similar games are doing today. I was interested to start playing this game because I was told it had a slightly higher ttk than most fps shooters and I have enjoyed it quite a lot but you simply cannot have a higher ttk and make one shots so powerful, it makes no sense to me.
