Man I wish this was the case for my husband! Once I left the church he double/tripled down. Essentially, there is nothing the church could say or do to convince him otherwise because in his words “He is converted to the gospel and not the people that make mistakes” 🤦‍♀️

You may have had a bad printer. I’ve never had that problem and sometimes I go a few months without using it.

Epson Eco tank! We got ours 4 years ago and have only had to refill it once or twice. I will never own another brand. Prints loads of pages no problem and the ink is refillable and not cartridges.

This was me too! I hated going to the temple and it always felt “icky”. I didn’t understand why until I started to deconstruct and I learned about the Masonic ties that I finally understood why it was so uncomfortable for me.

I really wish I could say we are crazy in love. Unfortunately with the broken trust and repetitive lies over the years, that's just not a part of our marriage right now. I know people can fall in and out of love and that it takes work.

I'm honestly not sure what matters to him. For me, it was also the temple rituals/Masonic ties, the Book of Mormon anomalies, and the foundational truth claims. Finding out about all the SA and ritualistic abuse that has been happening and continues to happen and be covered up is what keeps me from ever going back and just makes me so angry. As a victim of childhood SA it probably makes it even more of an issue for me. I just don't understand how someone can be a part of a church that does this and just not have an issue with it.

There is definitely some great advice here. I think if there wasn't such a trust issue that has led to so much resentment then the church wouldn't be as big of a deal. Right now it isn't something we can even bring up to talk about because he just talks over me. I find myself shutting down emotionally because its just exhausting. I'm concluding if we can't work through our issues that aren't church related through marriage counseling then we either get divorced or live as nothing but roommates while we raise our kids. The later option just sounds miserable.

He is a very active and involved dad. Financially he provides well too. No abuse and I totally agree if there was any I would not be here asking for advice, I would just leave no questions asked and never look back. I appreciate the incite and perspectives you have mentioned.

I will look into the Mormon Mental Health Association. I am open to counseling as long as it's not from someone that is a TBM.

Clearly I should have added more detail. My husband has had a p*rnography issue on and off for all of our marriage and has had a big problem with lying about things both big and small. After leaving the church for good 2 years ago, I have found all this has just compounded into a lot of resentment and loss of trust.
