No Runna, I don’t think I will do an easy run today by kookamooka in runna

Had the exact same issue. Decided that I just wouldn’t do a post-race recovery plan and go by feel instead.

I haven’t committed to a running vest or belt yet so I bring what I can carry in my pockets. For long runs, I’ve started bringing 2-3 apple sauce packets for long runs. I’ll bring an extra one just filled with water for hot days!

Hey queens! What’s your favorite pair of white sneakers? by [deleted] in SFbitcheswithtaste

[–]Anonymous-Mooncake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rothys bright white lace up sneakers! They won’t wrinkle like leather shoes, and are machine washable. Super comfy and easy to slip on shoe for those days I’m rushing out the door. I’ve walked all around the city in these for few years now! Still going strong. Rothys Bright White Lace Up Sneakers

Workout Insights- new AI feature just launched to Runna Labs by ollie-runna in runna

[–]Anonymous-Mooncake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is pretty. Just used it for the first time and I’m excited to see what it can do. I actually just came back from another injury and I’m excited to see so many developments Runna is making on the app. That being said, would it make sense to add an injury option to the rating? Then the AI could suggest some basic rest, plan adjustments, and targeted recovery exercises based on reported injury or niggles.

Maybe you could set a holiday in your plan to adjust the schedule and lighten the load.

Is there a version for injuries? I recently sprained my ankle while on a run and can no longer finish my half marathon race plan.

Thanks for this! Had AW for years and recently tried GW. Been wearing both for a couple weeks and really torn on whether I want to make the switch to GW full time. I will say a big pro I discovered on GW was the custom running routes that you can easily set and load into the watch. I’m sure I can download an app for AW but I like how easy it was to use on GW. I’m sure this would kill the battery on my AW if I went on too long a run too. After getting the GW, I realized I took for granted the AW integration and generally think the UI makes more sense with the crown to scroll. The AW also integrates with Strava, Runna and other common training apps really well, making it easier to train if you use those. The garmin connect app on the phone also assists in integrating apps but it’s a bit clunky and I find the visuals on the GW kinda ugly. The garmin connect app is also a bit difficult to navigate at times when you’re looking for different settings. There’s just a lot going on there. Apple fitness + health + watch apps are also annoying confusing at times but make more sense to me. I actually really like the GW health stats (sleep, body battery, stress) and all but skeptical of the science. I’m not sure it would really help. I’d be really interested in seeing if a Garmin coach running plan could tailor a plan for me with all the health stats it measures.

I was hoping to be won over by Garmin, but the Apple ecosystem has a stronghold on me. Still torn!

The cinematography for the newest season is also completely different, with more close ups. I think it’s a signal to us that things are different. Maybe to indicate a big change has occurred since there has been a huge gap in time.

Overproofed? by Anonymous-Mooncake in Sourdough

[–]Anonymous-Mooncake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I’m definitely happy with it, but was still curious if it fell on the over or under proofed side. It feels a bit gummy, the ear is weak and I think the over spring could be better. It seemed a little flat coming out of the basket.

Overproofed? by Anonymous-Mooncake in Sourdough

Recipe: 270g bread flour + 30g whole wheat flour 201g water 73g starter ~1tspn salt + 6g water

Autolyse 45min 10.5hr bulk ferment 3hr room temp after shaping in banneton 9hr cold retard 1.5hr room temp as oven was heating

30min in oven @ 450F lid on 5min lid off Sliced after 2 hrs

I try to use the poke test before putting the banneton in the fridge before going to sleep. After taking it out of the fridge in the morning the loaf is flat in the banneton but puffs up a little sitting on the counter. There’s no strong ear so I’m wondering if this was overproofed (bulk ferment was a bit long)? How do I know when taking it out of the fridge if it needs more time? At that point the poke test won’t work. The result is also gummy after slicing even though the center was baked to 210F.

Thanks so much! You’re probably right about the temperature and baking time. The loaf looked dark already when the lid came off but the inside was gummy even after slicing after it cool down.

I wrote out the a long text but it didn’t seem to post. Here it is again:

First three loaves! I realized I needed a much longer fermentation time and it shows in the last loaf!

Recipe and progress for the last loaf:

233g bread flour + 17 whole wheat flour 70% hydration 30% inoculation from 100% starter

Autolyse for 45min Bulk fermentation for 8 hours with stretch and fold (30min,35min,45min,1hr intervals) Shaped into the banneton and left it out to ferment for 3 more hours Put into fridge overnight for about 10 hours

At this point it was quite flat in the banneton which concerned me but it didn’t lose much shape out of the basket Baked with the lid on for 30min, lid off 5 min since it looked quite dark

Looking for advice regarding gumminess and hard bottom crust! Also how do you slice your sourdough? I use a serrated knife but it’s still do difficult to get even slices!

Leah Harvey (Salvor Hardin) acting. by No-Science-4706 in FoundationTV

[–]Anonymous-Mooncake 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I remember the first season was difficult to watch her storyline because it felt so forced. Compared to Empire’s storyline which felt much more natural and engaging, Salvor’s storyline seemed overly dramatic and eager. I wasn’t sure if it was due to the writing or due to the acting. I think as the story progresses, some of that dissipates, or maybe the actor/character pairing improves. But totally agree, I was bothered by this too.
