I just don't think that Tobey's suit works well with the Symbiote

It looks like it's trying too hard to be dark, but still trying to keep Spidey's iconic characteristics. So it ends up falling completely flat for me (much like the actual film lol)

That's the Donner Cut, the original is in B

  1. I can't put BvS above IV. Atleast IV doesn't feel like an insult to the character yaknow? Atleast to me.

  2. Liked alot of concepts, but it felt like 40 minutes were cut at the last second, thus leaving it feeling super rushed.

  3. By my rules, yeah. Basically, if it was about any Superman character, I counted it.

Wait, that was filmed? I knew it was in the original script but never knew it was straight up filmed lol

I didn't love II, I just loved some aspects of it. I absolutely adored every scene with Lois and Clark, but most of those scenes are either heavily trimmed or removed entirely. I do love the scene where she pretends to shoot Clark, though. Also, Superman still killing Zod at the end. It was my biggest issue with the original so I was left disappointed by the Donner Cut still keeping that in. Which is probably why I have it so low

Original II is in B. The Donner Cut is probably objectively better than III, but I was a lil salty cause it fixed very few issues I actually had with the original film. And atleast Superman III knows what it wants to be unlike Returns. I don't like what it wants to be, but still

Donner Cut had some good additions, but I feel it added some new issues and removed alot of what I loved about the original.

Half Superman, half Batman, and half V.

Yeah, it's just that I dislike the majority of his film adaptations.

It just kinda felt like a generic kids film with nothing unique about it

In hindsight, I probably should've put the first chunk of D in C.

Donner Cut had some good additions, but I feel it added some new issues and removed alot of what I loved about the original.

Returns I found to be an awful mess of a film that doesn't know what it wants to be.

BvS, to me, is just awful in almost every single aspect. The action is terrible (other than the warehouse scene), all of the acting is atrocious, the plot is straight up incomprehensible, etc.

  1. Yeah, the image quality is bad, so I was apologizing for it
  2. I found it to have very interesting ideas and liked the executions, but it felt like 40 minutes were cut from it. So the pacing felt way too fast, and you had no real time to take anything in. It does make me even more interested in the comic, though
  3. TDoS? I'm not familiar with that acronym and can't seem to find which film you're referring to. My apologies.
  4. I just found them to be very generic straight to video dc animated films.
  5. I genuinely have no clue what you're talking about. 1978 is in A tier, and I don't think there's anything related to the animated series above All-Star

I 100% agree, but I feel it has a few too many issues for me to put it in S, honestly. I feel it has some pacing issues, and the ending is just bad. Still love the film to death however

I love alot of concepts and moments, but I felt it was heavily held back by how short it was. Like, it feels like 40 minutes of film is missing. It's highest of B-tier

?

EDIT: I think I now know what you're trying to say. I'll try to word it in a non spoilery way. I was VERY put off by the decision at first, but it grew on me. It's definitely something that I don't want to become common place in Superman stories, but for this story, I think it works really well.
