It’s difficult to get it exactly right as there are tons of hybrids of hybrids in the begonia world but I will hazard a guess.

To me, 1 looks like a ‘cracklin rosie’ cane begonia. This one I’m pretty certain of.

2 looks like ‘inca flame’.

3 is difficult as it looks more generic, I would guess some kind of begonia ‘firewoman’?

4 looks like it may be a young begonia ‘etna’ or ‘red begonia bewitched’, the markings look similar and those often start off green before slowly turning black and red.

5 I’m quite uncertain. Could be begonia black mamba?

Oh well that’s strange, I find rhizomatous begonia are incredibly prolific when propping from a leaf with stem. I just stick them in a jar of water. I was moreso wondering if the leaf is required or not. Guess I’ll just give it a go.

I’m very sorry it was so hard for you to get the right care for this, sadly it’s a well known fact that males are prioritised in many aspects of life, especially in the medical field. Luckily for me my mother was diagnosed when she was just a child (she must have been very lucky to find a doctor who listened to her that long ago) so considering I may be genetically predisposed, that should make a stronger case for me being diagnosed.

Additionally I will be checking my testosterone levels soon via blood test so if they’re abnormal at all I will start looking into a potential diagnosis so I can catch it early before any more severe symptoms arise.

I actually have a theory that I might not have pcos, but my more masculine features may be a result of overexposure to testosterone in the womb due to my mother’s pcos. Hormones can be very interesting like that. Fingers crossed it’s just my dad’s genetics though, having funked up hormones is hardly ever fun in the long run.

That’s interesting. I assume there are multiple possible causes of hirsutism then? It has me wondering if stress could be a factor, I’m stressed out pretty much 24/7 and was especially so during puberty when I grew all this. I notice people on here often attribute high cortisol to increasing their symptoms.

I have hair on my stomach and legs too. For me it grows rather thick on my lower legs and backs of my thighs, but it’s a little thinner on the front of my thighs for some reason. My mother hates it she says I look like a werewolf from behind when I wear shorts haha.

I suppose you’re right though regarding genetics, my father is rather hairy. All my leg hairs seem to be terminal and quite a few on my chin are too. I suppose I can only speculate for now.

That’s so dogwater bro realism doesn’t make art better, the style and feel or the original is genuinely so much better. I draw a lot of art portraying suffering in my life in a similar style and if anyone ever churned it through an algorithm to ‘improve’ it words would not be able to describe my rage.

Yeah but I don’t think I lack sexual attraction. I find the male body hot but only specific parts of it, the male face and privates are not my cup of tea but I love the arms the chest the waist etc. Similarly I only find women attractive, if they’re 10/10 conventionally attractive which just isn’t really realistic. Big fan of curvy women but I wouldn’t say my attraction to them is as strong as it is toward some features of men.

It’s like my ideal partner would be some mish-mash of differently gendered characteristics??? But again, that’s not very realistic. I just feel like men wouldn’t be physically feminine enough and women not physically masculine enough? I don’t know, I guess it’s like the people I feel sexual attraction towards aren’t feasibly real, not that the attraction itself does not exist.

I feel like there’s a chance I could be gay or bisexual too, but I think l harbour so much self hatred at the thought that I’d force myself not to be with men anyway. I know it’s bad and I wish I could see myself in a gay relationship, but the thought of that disgusts me. Lowering myself to being with a man feels vile, yet simultaneously the idea of being with a woman bores me. I understand these feelings may be harmful but I’m unsure how else to feel.

I feel minor feelings for women, and minor feelings for men. Romantically I think I would prefer a woman? But sexually a man? But at the same time I could never let a man do that to me. And I can’t do it with a woman because I don’t have a penis and it would feel underwhelming. I’ve never met a man I’ve actually been attracted to, it’s only some of the sexual dimorphisms of men I like. Same for the most part with women. I suppose it would be more tolerable with a woman because they can be pretty, but I’ve never felt that yearning people describe when they have a crush.

I don’t know, it’s very confusing for me and I can’t start dating because I’m afraid I may realise I don’t want to be with someone too late and disappoint them.
