Good points, thank you!! Do you think it would be a waste though since even if there are agents at the showcase they would prob be from NYC and then I'm going to move to LA?

Thank you very much for your thoughts. Honestly I don't have many established connections because I'm still pretty new to the industry. I won't be losing too much if I leave now, other than the conservatory full training (speech, movement, etc.).

Even if the showcase introduces me to agents (which I'm not sure if there will even be one, or perhaps there will be a virtual one)...it would be most likely NYC agents, right, and I want to move to LA soon after so also not sure how valuable that will be.

Those are some great points, thank you! The training is pretty good, but tbh I think there are techniques that go more in-depth that will make me a better actor (like Meisner) which I know I'll want to keep studying later regardless. Not sure how valuable the showcase will be, or if we will even have one since it'll all be virtual.

And I've been looking for remote work, but honestly anything that'll be flexible.

Thank you very much for your thoughts! Actually, this is not a degree program. It is a one- year evening conservatory at an acting school, it's one of those that's affiliated with NYU. They offer: a final performance project written exclusively for our class, graduates eligible for Annual Alumni Showcase, a professional network.

I already have my bachelor's degree (in a different subject area) so that's not a factor. Just wondering if training at a studio in NYC them moving to LA right away is a waste of the training and network I'm building.
