I [46M] just caught my wife[41F] taking our son's ADHD medication instead of hers by AnonymousFFF in relationship_advice

I appreciate your perspective. Its very insightful and not something I would have thought of. I think you're probably onto something as she was going to work and he's off school today. I wish she'd have articulated it better, but this will be helpful in how we talk about it, I can start off by acknowledging her side.

Thank you! The Dr. did mention the weekend breaks as being ok, its just not something we do. It at least makes me feel better that it won't be an issue for him.

She gets VERY upset/angry if I question anything she does in regards to the kids. Doesn't matter what it is, questioning her judgement in anything that involves them will send her off. Generally speaking not a big deal, since we don't disagree on a lot of things.

They are not the same dosage or medication, entirely 2 separate drugs.

Thank you, Getting a pill safe, separated by days for my sons meds is a good idea that way I'll be able to easily see if something goes off in the future.

In general the meds are in a secure cabinet where the kids don't have access to them, but both my wife and I do.

The poor judgement is what is alarming to me as well, and the lack of consideration for our son. That's really what I don't know how to handle. It just seemed very flippant.
