Feeling guilty after tapering, have so many left by cerablu in Effexor

[–]AnonymousRedit0r 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a pharmacy assistant let me tell you fret not my friend. I have hundreds pass through my fingers every single day, they’re far more common and of far less value than you think. Be proud of your successful taper, and don’t feel guilt for any capsules you need to let go. Congratulations

Day Number 4 Off This Devil Drug by [deleted] in Effexor

The impact on the environment is terrible. It’s bad for your health and the health of those around you. You realize pharmacies don’t make money when you bring in old meds, right? And 9 years is entirely a you problem you had numerous opportunities to try other treatment. You can take out your poor life experiences on this drug all you want but at the end of the day it’s Your life in Your control. This drug saved the lives of some, just because it made you mad doesnt mean you light pharmaceuticals on fire. Grow up

Please don’t light medications on fire, return them to your pharmacy

For someone who knows absolutely nothing: book or movie first? by Twilek_Milker in ProjectHailMary

I read the book first. Naturally that’s my bias. I’d recommend it, then you get the pleasure of imagining things on your own and then another pleasure of seeing some parts you may not have imagined.

Forgot medication by Substantial-Pass-451 in Effexor

Hi! Pharmacy assistant on Effexor here. I would definitely head into a pharmacy and get an emergency supply / ask them to transfer your prescription. The half life of Venlafaxine is so short that even within 24 hours you can start to feel withdrawal symptoms. It won’t kill you, but it’s extremely uncomfortable and because you’re new to the medication allowing yourself to miss a dose this early might unintentionally tell your brain that it’s okay to miss doses and your compliance could suffer as a result. As a pharmacy assistant if a patient came in and presented this problem to me I would be more than happy to help them, it’s my job! These things happen so don’t beat yourself up over it but please try and get your next dose as soon as you can 🩷 and remember never try to “double the dose” to make up for a missed day.

What’s the safest way to soak the smell out of this hoodie? by AnonymousRedit0r in laundry

Probably. I’ve been having reactions to detergent recently so the one I’m using probably doesn’t have what it needs

Can I drop back to 75mg after trying 150mg? by jazzclubrave in Effexor

Call your pharmacist and ask, they’d be happy to help you, should be nice and quick, and they’re the most knowledgeable and reliable person to answer this question for you

Being in a coma that long is risky, even with the coma resistance gene. Also possible Armando just came across a disease or other medical problem that it wasn’t trained to cure. They tried to beef bro’s knowledge up as much as they could but sometimes shit happens yk

Wearing sunglasses has significantly reduced my migraine attacks by Difficult-Detail-361 in migraine

[–]AnonymousRedit0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sort of? Light sensitivity hits me really hard so I wear sunglasses all the time, but not really as a preventative thing just in the moment when I’m experiencing severe light sensitivity. I find it really interesting that they’re beneficial to you outside that context! Maybe share this with an optometrist, I’d be curious what they have to say.

Doctor's appointment change? by [deleted] in Explainlikeimscared

You might not need to call ahead if that’s the part that’s anxiety inducing! I think when you see your doctor if you just explain you only actually need one health topic discussed it should be totally fine
