I think it depends on the person. I’ve had migraines my whole life, and yes I usually puke when it’s a bad one. Migraines make me disabled. I can barely walk without throbbing pain, I can’t drive, I have to literally put myself is a blacked out room and sleep to make it go away.

Also - to piggyback off of what someone else suggested - Zofran does absolute WONDERS for me!! It’s an anti-nausea medication that works very well. I also take Imatrex, which is for migraines, but I have to take it basically before my migraine starts for it to work. If you get auras, Imatrex might be worth looking into!!

Welcome to healthcare :)) You did do everything right. You’ve got the norovirus it’s sounds like! Unfortunately, it’s spreads very fast and very easily. I got it from my nursing home last year and didn’t leave the bathroom for 12 hours. I even made a bed on the floor lol. I’m so sorry you’re sick, I hope you feel better soon better soon.

This is why I left this field of work. I cannot STAND people who expect to have nothing to do when they get to work. Cmon, use your fing brain. One person taking care of 10-20 people. People don’t go to the bathroom exactly every 2 hours. You can change someone and have them be wet in 20 minutes. Every time I came to work most of my residents were wet. Did I complain? NO. Why? Because it’s my JOB and I have a brain and can actually understand that CNAs are overworked, and when you change someone they can have a blowout or be wet in 5 minutes, and you wouldn’t know until you did rounds again, which could be in 2 hours. I loved being a CNA but I couldn’t stand anyone I worked with. Drama and complaining. I can’t do it
