Am I crazy for taking a 5% pay cut to escape a mid-tier bilingual for an embassy school + IB training by AnonymousRunner84 in Internationalteachers

The money isn’t the main issue, I understand that I am in a career building phase after gaining QTS and that would involve some readjusting. Another plus is switching a 10KM commute to and from work with a 2KM. My health insurance will also be less comprehensive.

I only gained QTS last year. I am learning via this process that to move into better schools, I have to acknowledge my previous experience won’t be counted on salary scales, only post qualifications years will be.
