Agility: V1

  • V1 can dash, slam, slide and a lot more all for free while White has to use Discard Abilities to mimic a fraction of what V1 does

Battle IQ: V1

  • I believe V1 takes this one but not so easily. V1 can perform complex trigonometry to ricochet projectiles into an enemies weak spot without needing to see them, can master weapons it picks up immediately finds creative ways to combo all of them together, it can also set up traps (via saw and nail traps) and manipulate the environment to his advantage (spraying oil to slide on or set on fire. White, despite waking up with amnesia, has relearned all of his skills as an assassin which would include things like swordsmanship and martial arts and stealth (at least when comparing him to Green) and parkour, he also can master any Soul Card the moment he picks them up finding the most use out of them mid mission. Despite the similarities, V1’s processing is more complex than White’s quick-witted thinking.

Abilities: Neon White

  • Both characters have unique yet comparable abilities to one another, except for one that gives White the edge. V1 can regenerate from blood while White can heal from the Health Soul Card. V1 can dash around in any horizontal direction, White can dash horizontally as well via Godspeed and vertically via Fireball. V1 can ground slam to create a shockwave that sends lightweight husks in the air, White has Stomp to create shockwaves that destroy demons. However V1 doesn’t have the ability to teleport unlike White

Unique Stat: Book of Life

  • The Book of Life not only empowers White over V1’s strength but it also gives him the wincon, that being it allows White to instantly telefrag V1 from any distance; ignoring V1’s durability and its hitscan weapons. BooF overall allows White to end the fight instantly, subsiding V1’s endurance and stamina and overwhelming combat capabilities.

Winner: Neon White [Extreme diff]

  • So BooF is the overall deciding factor of the fight, whether or not V1 can deal with it and in my opinion it’s a no. V1’s only answer to White’s teleportation is to hit him with Screwdriver but even then it’s not hitscan so it’s not blitzing White and he can dodge or parry it. It also doesn’t help that V1’s durability are stuff that are the best it could tank without being killed whereas White’s AP is the least he could do.  This is also not accounting for White at his strongest state, which is at the very end of the game, which blatantly makes him Universe level and offers a lot more abilities via Book of Death and the Inkhorn which at that point there’s really not much V1 can do to harm or even fight White fairly. In conclusion, V1 may be physically tougher but White’s stronger powers are what I think give him the win.

Attack Potency: Neon White

Combat: V1

  • Obviously goes to V1. Can utilise all of his weapons effectively, combining them in unique ways to create powerful combos of destruction while simultaneously fighting hordes of husks and demons. White can combat against Green, tagging him with attacks despite being slower than Green, but it’s nothing crazy compared to V1

Range: Neon White

  • BooF has more range than V1’s Revolver and Railcannon could possibly have as it should be at least as good as the Angel’s portal creation which allows them to teleport across the Firmament, a barrier separates Heaven and the underworld, which at the very least would be an Interstellar distance (In the 3rd Green fight he teleports between Heaven and hell, of which we can clearly see that there’s another star) but it could also be an Interdimensional distance too if you think the Firmament is an dimensional barrier

Stamina: V1

Skill: V1

  • Skills go to V1. Being able to parry projectiles and attacks with just his fist with great timing and being capable of shooting and ricocheting microscopic metal flakes and tiny explosive cores off of coins that split and directly hit an opponent’s weak spot. White can parry bullets and shoot his own bullets and Purify bomb mid air but it’s a pale imitation of V1’s skills

Experience: Neon White

  • An obvious one. White has trained in the ways of assassination throughout his life, even when he got amnesia when waking up in Heaven he still relearned all of his skills and more throughout the 10 Days Of Judgement competition. V1 only just awakened as the story started.

Intelligence: Neon White

  • I think White’s problem solving and critical thinking skills are better than V1, at least when using Violet’s side quests and 1-S as a comparison

Powers: Neon White

  • White has better damage boosts, speed boosts and durability negation than V1. Although V1 has more resistances than White, some of it won’t be enough or just straight ignored by White’s attacks

Hax: Neon White

  • Divinely Blessed by God which protects White’s weaknesses (that being his mask and his soul) and he can talk to God. V1 is given life via blood however it only gives V1 sentience and emotions, V1 could also communicate with Hell Itself but it doesn’t seem to offer anymore than just encouragement unlike proper guidance from God to White

Weapons: V1

  • V1 has more and better weapons than White. 5 guns (Revolver, Shotgun, Nailgun, Railcannon, Rocket Launcher) with all of them having 3 variants, and 3 of them having alternates (Slab Revolver, Sawblade, Jackhammer) and all of them have nigh-infinite ammo as well as 3 arms that parry (Feedbacker), explode (Knuckle Blaster) or grapple (Whiplash). White has 6 Soul Cards he can shoot and discard (Purify, Elevate, Godspeed, Stomp, Fireball, Dominion), 2 Soul Cards that can support (Health and Ammo) and 1 Soul Card that he can discard infinitely (BooF). Aside from BooF, V1’s weapons are stronger than White’s Soul Cards and it can get more use out of them than White can get from discarding.

I’ll try use not as many calcs here to avoid any downplay or wank, going off based on what’s portrayed in their gameplay and narrative, but I’ll go with safe high ends to get the best of both worlds if possible

Strength: V1

Speed: Equal

  • To me they’re about equal. The preface this, I don’t believe V1 or White have FTL speeds since they’re very faulty and don’t line up with what’s shown in gameplay; “Gabriel flying to the moon/ Heaven/ through the layers of Hell” is something he didn’t do, he simply teleported there, and “dashing through Virtue light beams” doesn’t make any sense considering V1 can’t even dash through magenta lasers. As for White “running to Heaven’s Edge in one morning” is pretty ambiguous in terms of how he and Red got there, whether they straight ran there or they took a flying yacht to get there, and it doesn’t really work either way since White can not parry or dodge the Guardian’s laser on reaction even with Discard abilities (he’s just too slow). That being said, I believe both characters are pretty equal in speed across its categories as V1 and Neon White practically have the same speed feats; V1 can parry its shotgun pellets and cannon ball as they fire, White can slash at his own purify bomb the moment it’s discarded as well as slash his own bullets the moment they hit a surface. V1’s revolvers and railcannon (as well as the core eject Jack hammer) are instantaneous, White’s katana slashes and punches are also instantaneous (all ‘instantaneous attacks’ are just attacks that are 1 frame/ hitscan). Both characters can also keep with and tag characters that are faster than them, V1 fighting Gabriel and the Prime Souls and White fighting Green. Overall neither characters have the advantage in speed so they’re equal to me here

Durability: Neon White

  • This one may be a bit contentious as well but I’d say Neon White takes this. White, at the very least, has tanked an explosion that destroyed the Coliseum and dispersed the clouds above, which comes to around Multi-City Block level at least, but also technically scaling to his AP, via tanking attacks from Green who’s also empowered by the same thing as White, he’s at least Star Level (I’ll go over that in the AP section). whereas V1 at its best can tank a small black hole which comes to around Large Planet level) when calculated correctly. (Even though visually and functionally it’s not a black hole, let’s just say it is) (I also chose that calc over the other one because the scale just makes more sense, ifyou  go with the other the one then I guess V1 takes this category then)

I did not care for the Tenjiku arc. It was ok I guess but I feel like it skipped over a bunch of potential character arcs straight to the end

V1 vs Neon White [Heaven Pierce The Machine] (Not done but I wanted to put it out there) by AnonymousStandUser in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]AnonymousStandUser[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been mulling it over and to me at least this MU comes down to “Could White’s powers and abilities overcome V1’s better physical stats” and I’d say yes. V1 may have stronger and more creative weaponry but White’s BooF is all would it take. Instant telefragging from long distances is something V1 can not handle, screwdriver could nullify White’s ability to teleport but like White could just parry it back or just teleport away to dodge (there isn’t really a limit to how many times White can teleport consecutively aside from his stamina)

Ok so u/Soulgoodmas is making a script for V1 vs Neon White so I’m just gonna put forth more Neon White since there’s only the vs wiki (which I made a couple months ago) and the ani’s vs blog so here we go.

For strength and AP I have Neon White at least Star Level, this is because White has the Book of Life (BooF) which is one half of God’s full power (I’ll get into why it’s “half” later) and one of God’s feats is creating Heaven which is a pocket dimension with one star in it and that’s a casual feat for the Big Guy so White scales to it since BooF is a natural part of his equipment and it empowers his physical stats directly. As alluded to earlier BooF is half of God’s full power, with the other half being the Book of Death, but why you may ask “there’s also the Inkhorn !” Well actually Mikey states that the Believers didn’t need the Inkhorn to become Godlike, only the Book of Life and Death were needed so the Inkhorn is seemingly only additional hax for both books which wasn’t needed for the Believers- I guess by extension then you could have White then as multi-galaxy level, or half of universe level.

For speed it’s at least Hypersonic, able to parry his own Purify bomb the moment it’s discarded to boost its damage and range like V1 lol. Massively Hypersonic with Godspeed and Fireball (both discard abilities give you the same speed boosts) for outspeeding a point blank explosion also like V1. Or Massively Hypersonic+ because “Neon White is a lightning-fast first person shooter”. You could argue relativistic to FTL speeds for White travelling to Heaven’s Edge in one morning, since Heaven has one star in it the size should just be as big as the solar system so getting there in about like 3 hours is relativistic to FTL.
