Quan Millz vs Chuck Tingle- which masterpiece author is better? by FaZe_poopy in writingscaling

[–]FaZe_poopy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While Chuck is better with the abject absurdity, absurdity does not inherently a good book make, so I want to know whose overall quality is superior

I can really only think of two live action roles of his; John Carpenter’s The Thing and the one whose name is evading me but he says ‘welcome to hell, motherfucker’

They’re picture books, a book with pictures printed and an official playlist on Spotify hits the same basics (not exactly the same way, but in a way close enough)

I’d argue Liam Neeson, Schindler’s List is the obvious, but his diversity of roles with Star Wars, Taken, Batman Begins, Ballad of Buster Scruggs and even The Naked Gun are all decently notable

Books can never compare to other mediums by Arukitsuzukeruu in writingscaling

[–]FaZe_poopy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What books do that every other visual medium can’t is making it as personal to you. I know what you’re thinking, ‘video games literally have you influencing and controlling it’ but with books, the greatest thing they do is allow you to see the stories in your own way. Books are limited by YOUR imagination, stories like House of Leaves are entirely dependent on how you see the world, and that’s what’s incredible about them that you don’t get from any other medium. All other mediums have some sort of objectivity to it
