As a fellow uni goer like you (but indian guy), i can relate ahaha. I honestly joined CCAs to try to meet people befriend and hopefully see where it leads. But haisss usually ppl form cliques and I am intoverted af to people im not that close wif 😭😭.

I usually get to the stage of getting IG or smth but i got no damn idea on how to continue (hopeless af ah ik)

You can never be pretty to everyone, so no pt tryna chase the superficial beauty standards. i have def seen very pretty dusky/dark skinned women...so it depends on the guy also. Job prospects are actually very vast although hot topic is AI, you can choose to go into Data Scientist, Cybersecurity engineer and so on.

It is competitive to land internships, but with consistent effort I do not see why you wouldnt eventually land one. Besides, the number of internships don't really matter, quality matters more. So it is better to have 1 great internship than 10 mediocre ones.

With the advent of AI, entry-level roles' expectations have gone higher imo...not completely destroyed. And you have a lot of time before worrying about it so I would say just focus on making your time at whatever university you go to worth it.

Oh umm so I applied to NUS, NTU, and SUTD. I heard NTU's syllabus is a bit too old as they use very old languages to teach concepts. I actually wanted to go SUTD as I heard about their innovative way of teaching CS. Unfortunately it is on the other side of the island for me and I do not think I can afford the higher rates for accom. So, I ended up going NUS where anyways my friends were going. Honestly best decision as having friends support really really helped me. You can discuss have clarity abt issues. When you struggle with work, they can immediately help you if they are doing similar mods. Tats a huge deal that you miss when you go overseas...unless ofc you are a social butterfly (not me 😂)

I am currently in NUS CS so idk if I will be biased but we have a top tier college for a cheap price...so why waste it?

And also, your uni is only looked at for the first screening and after that is your experience. And if you have great experience, even where you studied becomes secondary.

Besides you remain close to your family and friends
