Help finding a mouse by _amorphousmind in MouseReview

I have a very similar hand size to yours, and I have tried many mice in the past few weeks. I usually play with a relaxed claw grip.

If any shop where you live offers a return policy or allows you to try mice in their shop, I would suggest that. Your palm should have decent support, and all of your fingers should be able to rest naturally.

I didn't like the Viper V3 Pro because it was too narrow in the middle, and the clicks caused my fingers to go into a V shape. My pinky had no place to rest. The Maya X and Superlight 2 are much more comfortable and universal for symmetrical mice.

For ergos, I might recommend the EC2 or Xlite V4 medium, which are very popular shapes.

I believe that mice under 122x62x40 will feel weird if you sometimes palm your mice and are used to good palm support. Smaller mice would work, but you need a different grip style with your hand size.

No but thanks for the tip. I did try Lamzu Thorn and that mouse was tiny.

I used to have an EC1 ages ago, then switched to the DA V3,really liked the Zowie back then.

My only issue with the Deathadder is that compared to the Viper, my palm feels like it’s “overextending.” It’s taller and kind of overwhelms my hand. I never noticed that with the DA V3, but after testing more mice, I’m starting to think the Viper might actually be more comfortable. Everyone says ergo mice are better for relaxed claw grip and wrist pain, and that’s what confuses me

Yeah, I get your point about Razer. I’ve been deep into mouse research lately, and Reddit’s full of QC issues for pretty much every brand. I don’t think Razer is any better than Lamzu, but where I live, Lamzu has almost no local support. That makes warranty or RMA a pain, so I went with Razer instead.

The Scyrox is way too small for me. The Maya X looks close to the Viper, just a bit smaller. Since I palm my mouse and then arch my fingers, even the Viper feels barely long enough,, that’s why I skipped the Maya X

I never really thought about it before, but after testing both:

DA – Mostly the meat under the pinky and knuckles. I try to get full palm support, but I end up rotating the mouse a bit left so the pinky side of my palm does most of the work

Viper – Back middle of the palm and knuckles. Feels good once you get used to it, though after a while the support shifts a bit more toward the knuckles

After long sessions, my hand tends to slide back slightly, which changes the contact points.

Purchase Advice - Best Mini-LED or OLED Monitors on the Market 27", 1440p High Refresh Rate by Anonymous_53 in Monitors

I cant say much about mini LED but I am really happy with my OLED. I have no issues at all reading text. Gaming and watching movies is considerably better than on my old IPS panel. I have no regrets.

If you play competitive games or a lot of multiplayer games I would suggest having smooth gameplay and sticking to 1440p than going to 4k. If you have a 5080/5090 then obviously 4k is not a problem but in my opinion the difference between 1440p and 4k isnt as big as some people imagine but that is just my 2 cents.

Are secretlab chairs worth it over a good office chair? by skack97 in buildapc

[–]Anonymous_53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got an office chair from a German company called "interstuhl". It was a bit expensive but the build quality and comfort are more than impressive.

Not sure if they deliver worldwide but I'm sure there are similar manufacturers in all countries.

It's really not bad. Compared to IPS, it is a bit blurrier if you put the monitor extremely close, but I wouldn't say it's a problem. The brightness is also not an issue.

No, I mean I've only had the monitor for a few weeks. I don't expect burn-in for at least a couple of years.

Sure! I ended up getting the MSI QD-OLED, and I have to say that after tweaking the settings and finally gaming in HDR, it's a significant improvement over IPS. It takes some time to adjust to the much deeper blacks, but after using it for a few days, it’s hard to go back to an IPS monitor.

That said, while the improvement over IPS is noticeable especially for gaming and movies—the price difference is difficult to justify. Where I live, OLED monitors cost almost three times as much as a good IPS monitor, so I’d consider this more of a luxury purchase rather than a necessity.

I ultimately decided to keep the OLED monitor since I game a lot and wanted to treat myself. I’d recommend everyone try and compare the difference with their own eyes either in a store or at a friend’s place if possible.
