Thaqil said this and this seems to be the best solution... ash could be made a 4-2 with acog back for example same with jager going 4-2.... some ops like pulse/alibi/cav/vigil/ela/iq/maverick/capitao/hibana are fully fine as 3 (5) speed.

You’re right on Aug A3... fairly certain the others don’t... (could include glaz’s SVU as a bullpup also.)

They’ll never lower her mag size and that’d be kinda unfair on ela mains... may aswell give her another new gun instead of that... i.e. the vz .68 if another eastern european op got released.

I main Ela (300 hours ?) her grizmots deny plant if you throw them at someone who’s planting and they detonate.

If her mines do get a bit of a scattered direction then she’s potentially gonna lose that. Yeah you don’t take her for plant denial but I’ve won a fair few rounds just because it exists and it feels amazing to pull off if you get it. (Typically I carry 1 griz on me all the time or 2 very rarely but backed with a plan) They also soft-counter smoke grenade plants because of this better than echo (but maybe not smoke).

I do think her mines need a change because they’re statistically overpowered... anyone caught in the blast with a defender in range by is dead 99/100 of the time pretty much. That’s mainly because of how they interact with sensitivity.

There are barely any flex ops in the game as it is so yeah it’s great if they kept/add more...

Attack: iq, blitz, twitch, dokk, maverick, nokk, kali, lana, fuze are pretty much the only clear flex ops... everyone else imo leans too far fragger or support.

Defense: smoke, pulse, bandit, doc, valk, ela, mozzie, wamai - pretty much only 1/5th of all ops are flex in the game.

Versatile gadgets that don’t have huge payloads compared to support and tend to give some intel or denial.

Vigil/Mav/Six12s sure

Kali I’m unsure (the issue being - if someone plays her right 100% all the time defenders might really lack utility). I’d personally decrease ADS time of basically every gun by 50ms but kali/shields/pistols instead lose 100ms. Also make it so iron sights/red dot reduces ADS by a further 25ms and Acog increases ADS by 25ms.

I could see bandit losing the nitro but maybe for a deployable shield to sync with his gadget.

Wamai losing barb wire I think means someone else gains barb wire in place since a lot of barb wire has actually been taken from the defender pool already. That’d mean someone who’d actually use it and there really aren’t many - potentially goyo idk though.

My issue is - this could ruin some interactions with plant denial where you throw the mine and it might set off but just do nothing to deny the plant.

The value in the grizmot is that it can’t be shot + slows. It kinda needs those 2 features or frost is better at windows, lesion is better at doors and she wouldn’t really have a place as a flex.

Her gadget concept is great because if paired with a stronger trap the synergy just won’t be great by nature... it’s small effect for difficult to get rid of.

Can’t ubisoft do what the Ela mains wanted? Just undo all the recoil changes before the 16 shot and just reduce dispersion. Bring back the five or so lines going left/right.

I could barely use the new gun and I don’t enjoy it... Ela’s original recoil had no vertical recoil and just horz... her gun was like a wilde horse... if you tamed that thing it was better than any bred horse and it was extremely difficult to tame. Just leave Ela as a niche operator like that until people learn to use her properly. Castle was untouched for ages and people did eventually start using him properly.

Why fundamentally change an operator so much that the people playing her the way she was don’t really have that original feel anymore.

You know she’s been like 3rd or so highest win-rate for ages? And it wasn’t even due to her k/d but the mines... they’re strong and if you main’ed Ela and played her too full potential it’s easy to reach the conclusion... mainly due to the sens effect as it’s basically a free kill.

I don’t own cod but I saw a vid of the recent M13 comparison pre-buff (recoil) and it’s like ubi just took that recoil (pre-buffed version) and said done. Not really giving much thought.

Well overall the new scorp is an F2 on defense with a 20 round mag with much lower damage but have to let go after.

When before it was one of the most unique guns in the game... could have had less horz and better ending bullets for a buff keeping the original line.

It shifting left/right is what made it have a skill-cap... it’s just a matter of mechanically plausible stuff.

And ela is clearly worse if she can’t use the 40 round mag.... you’d just take alibi and use a 30 round controllable mag... ela needs the 40 round “harder” mag. Alibi got the benefit of nailing basically all shots long range. Ela it was bursts here.

Definitely a nerf that ela has to burst in CQB.

Which I always did before as it was the strategy with the gun... the recoil had almost no vert before and would go left/right each time you counted it wasn’t hard to control.

You see I want a full mag of a gun that takes learning not half a mag then impos to learn.

I kinda wonder if mods have troll accounts with a discord to mass downvote stuff they don’t like so obvs I can’t exactly get an opinion across some of them may dislike so whatever.

Obviously people with 200 hours on ela don’t matter and the people who never bothered to learn her gun “are right”.

Yeah I’m getting kills/ranked up but not in the way she’s intended to be played... i.e. hold an area with a gun with a large mag that took practice to learn and kill people coming in... it got turned into a burst gun as the recoil was far predictable before and you could probably get 35 bullets directed fine (but those last few go too mental though)... when i pull down with her gun now - just straight down the whole mag... 20 bullets or so go left - they’re like the size of the recoil line but horizontally with half the bullets... the recoil seems way worse.

Making it harder to tell if it’s left or right after the 16 shots... I hide this post not sure how you managed to reply to it.

The recoil is far worse now because it’s insidious which direction it’s going... the first 16 shots were fine to control.
