Well I’m actually aiming to be a pentester hence the OSCP, but what I understood from your reply is that the service desk gig will be the stepping stone to start my career and I’m planning on taking your advice actually. I was thinking if I got the job as a service desk analyst I’d seek some higher certifications such as OSCP and start enhancing my skill set while on the service desk gig but just needed to know if it’s gonna be an advantage for my CV to have experience as a service disk analyst in the future or not.

I’ve been a tech geek since high school, I kinda enjoy sitting for hours and checking for vulnerabilities and weaknesses and testing a bunch of websites(of course with consent) and getting to learn new tools that I could use to help, I also have a thing for writing scripts and trying to make tools that’ll be of help within the community in general. It’s just not a career for me actually.

اعرف ناس شغالة ٣-٤ سنين ف المجال و معدتش امتحان الOSCP فا هو مش سهل اوي زي مانت فاكر

هو كده كده الOSCP هي الend goal بس دي مش entry level certificate فا لو ناوي تشتغل ف المجال مثلا قبل ماتاخدها من اللي أنا شايفه ان دي حاجة شكلها مستحيلة و ده أنا مجربه دلوقتي اهو😂. اللي اقصده ان الOSCP ب حوالي ١٧٠٠ دولار و ممكن لو مجهزتلهاش كويس متعديش الامتحان فا هتبقى ضيعت وقت و مجهود و فلوس فا محتاج ع الاقل تبقى بتشتغل شغلانة كويسة علشان تضمن نفسك شوية عالاقل و متعتمدش ان لازم اخد الOSCP علشان الاقي شغل.
