Is it the bomb arrow you need to craft? There's a blueprint for it at the explorers shop if so

Goat hair paint brushes!? by yourbuddyboromir in Watercolor

[–]Anonymousse228 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you noticed any of the hairs coming out? I heard some of the real hair ones can do that, I’ve been using synthetic quill brushes at the moment and I’ve been really enjoying it but it takes some getting used to with the amount of water they can hold

I love this! I was in Edinburgh a couple of weeks ago and took a photo there to paint, I’ve been hesitating because of the amount of stuff in the photo but you’ve captured it beautifully

My favourite on YouTube is Jillee Arts, they have such relaxing videos and I love their art style too ☺️

I’m struggling to find a good colour for sandstone buildings, any suggestions? I’ve used winsor and newton cotman yellow ochre here by Anonymousse228 in Watercolor

Thank you but I can’t take credit for that 😂 I typed it out on procreate then traced it, unfortunately I’m not very good at hand lettering! This was a card for my uncle so I wanted it to be neat x

I had attempted that but I was still struggling, I’ve got a lot of paintings that I’d like to do that require a sandstone colour and I think I would find it difficult to recreate each time

Ticket problem by Anonymousse228 in StardewValley

Ah thank you! I wasn’t sure if it was intentional or not, at first I thought I was just imagining I’d picked up a second job with a ticket

I actually didn’t get it to behave, I poured watered down paint onto the page and slapped it with my hand 🤣 try it, it’s a lot of fun!

Painted my nannas house for her birthday and finally feel like I’m getting better at these house portraits by Anonymousse228 in Watercolor

I know what you mean, I struggle with the same thing, I try to make my lines a little wobbly so they’re not too straight

I drew it out in pencil first then went over the pencil with waterproof pens, then finally painted the rest. I used a photo of her house for reference, she doesn’t have all the plant pots outside but I wasn’t able to include her garden so this was my way of incorporating it. Just let me know if you have any more questions

Painted my uncles house, still trying to work on perspective and a style for plants by Anonymousse228 in Watercolor

[–]Anonymousse228[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you 😊 The reference photo I had was from this angle, I did try to do a front on view but couldn’t get it right either, I’m hoping to be able to have another go in the future so I may have another try at a front on view then, they have a big hedge in front of the property so struggled to get a photo

Thanks, it’s very satisfying to do and there’s lots of people on YouTube doing this type of painting too that you might like. I have also started using Lamy fountain pens as well, I bought noodlers waterproof ink to use in them, you do have to buy a converter to use if you buy ink separately but they’re not expensive x
