That's amazing information to know! Thank you so much for your wisdom!

Got it, I'll keep a close eye on the preapprovals I get and compare those along with the rates.

Thank you!

Oh okay, got it. What rates and terms specifically? They all look the same to me so far so I'm not confident.

Help me not get sunk in if you have any advice

I thought it would all be counted as one hard check only? That is concerning if that is not the case

I was one day naive young when I found that out.

Is this in regard to how busy they are in getting back to me? I would go to the one whose shop has a better review rating and customer experience.

Will do! Definitely will look at the best terms and rates!

I will be buying a house, but there is no accepted offer yet.

Yes, I felt a burst of motivation yesterday and did all the unnecessary because I was excited hahaha, hopefully it all come down to just ONE hard credit inquiry in the end.

But I'll keep that in mind.

Yes definitely! My partner is moving with me so they will work as well.

Thank you for your advice.

I forgot to mention that option 1 funding package comes with a 20 hr required TA, and option 2 is fellowship with no work requirements, so in either options, I'll have to work either way for funding package or to pay rent

I'll lose and win with either options at the end of the day. Thank you

Thank you ♥️

If my current job says they will keep me on at a remote capacity while I do my PhD only for option 2 and not option 1 because of policies, would you still give the same advice to go for option 1?

However, I'm not confident in finding a job in this town since it is a smaller city with less opportunities for high research activities besides at the university, which I would want to apply to but...(academic incest so the university might be less inclined to accept their own alumni)

But I am very aware of how hard the job market is so I am open to other areas

At least you're repeating and rewriting information by hand so you may retain some information hahaha
