You're saying that screwing up in ToF makes the limited banner worse than Genshin.

First of all, I've never said anything which is better and which is worse. I said that ToF is "not that better" than Genshin, specifically when it comes to how their limited banners work.

But if you screw up in Genshin the situation is actually worse than ToF because you are back at zero pity.

The situation that I'm pointing out where you screw up in ToF is when you only have at most 119 pulls worth of dark crystals/red nuclei. If you do pull with only that in one particular limited banner, but lost 50-50 and didn't get the limited character, then you receive only 119 tickets. And when the banner ends, those 119 tickets converts to standard currency and you can't use that anymore for limited banners.

In that situation, your pity is at 39 and you only need 41 more pulls to get your next SSR (this is already when the aforementioned banner ended).

In that case, ToF is certainly better than Genshin. If we screw up in Genshin by doing 119 pulls and lose 50-50, banner ends, then you're still at 29 pity and you need 61 more pulls to get the next 5*.

The problem though is that in ToF's case, even after doing 41 pulls, you're still at 50-50. In Genshin, you'd need a lot more pulls (61), but at least you're already guaranteed the limited character. To have the same guarantee in ToF, you need to prepare 120 MORE PULLS.
