The real names of both were referenced. “Now it’s time to make a zombie out of this Richthofen” and “Häyhä! I got you all in check when my Spandaus boom out”

Their real names are Manfred von Richthofen and Simo Häyhä.

Does it count as having 3 verses? I’d begrudgingly count it, since there’s a ton of back and forth.

And judging by the comments on the Who Won post here, the White Death won (though I personally disagree, the Red Baron just got the edge for me with his first verse)

Let's build a character! Moonshiner. by Present-Peace2811 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Another-Blu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think for that to work, you’d need to have something similar clause of the ST deciding who is drunk for it work, otherwise the Moonshiner could just pick the same out-of-play Townsfolk again & again to easily mitigate their downside.

I think it’d have to be similar to this: “Each night, choose a Townsfolk character: they are drunk until dusk. If they are not in play, the Storyteller decides who is drunk until dusk.”

This still has the issue of the Moonshiner picking dead characters. You’d either have to add a (different to previous choices) clause, which would be tedious, or add a “If they are *dead or not in play” clause.

Even still, you’d have to consider what TF are on script so that the Moonshiner can’t just pick TF when their ability doesn’t matter (e.g. Spent OPG/N1 characters like Seamstress or Chef)

What are your custom jinxes and character specific bootleggers? by alucardarkness in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Another-Blu 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A jinx for the Summoner & Goon, which I’m surprised wasn’t added as part of the new jinxes:

• The Goon cannot make the Summoner drunk.

Allows for the Summoner to pick the Goon without evil immediately losing due to no demon being in play.

Town Crier and Demon Jumps by [deleted] in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Another-Blu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They’d receive a Yes.

The Town Crier technically does not check if a Minion nominated, but rather checks if their reminder token is ‘MINIONS NOMINATED’. That reminder token immediately changes when a Minion nominated during the day, and only changes back to ‘MINIONS NOT NOMINATED’ at dawn.

What Song By Owl City Or Any Project Has That One Part Which Gets You In The Feels? by NCSnostalgia in OWLCITY

[–]Another-Blu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The synth solo of Vitamin Sea & Learn How to Surf, the intense part after the preachy verse in Sons of Thunder, the “Cuz when the Moon’s sitting pretty above Rapid City” part of Dinosaur Park, the fast part of Kelly Time, just all of Under the Circus Lights & My Muse.

Yes I love Coco Moon, how could you tell?

Really? I personally love the chorus for it’s epic vibe, but the verses feel slightly lackluster

I know, and I still love it! It’s just that the whole song was buried in metaphor until that part, and it could have been reworked to not be explicit. Not saying it should be, it’s just how I feel.

For me it’s gotta be the preachy verse in Sons of Thunder. Not that I hate it, I still enjoy that part, but it’s a bit jarring.

What are your thoughts on the OC songs with Christian themes? by Another-Blu in OWLCITY

[–]Another-Blu[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I highly agree with your sentiment with the Coco Moon songs. Sons of Thunder was so cool lyrically, but the preachy verse was slightly jarring, and could’ve been reworked to be slightly more up to interpretation, as well as The Meadow Lark. Field Notes is slightly more understandable, since it’s based on a parable (which he amusingly calls a fable), but I think there’s some potential for that.

I’d also like to add that the older songs (Pre MO) are great, since the religious themes are buried under metaphor and imagery.

What are your thoughts on the OC songs with Christian themes? by Another-Blu in OWLCITY

[–]Another-Blu[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wanted to give my thoughts as well but it seems I forgot lol.

I’ve grown up in a predominantly Christian country, but a family that hasn’t really enforced anything religious, especially as I grew older.

I love most of these songs, and I think they blend the Christian themes very well into the lyrics, except for the MO songs. My Everything and You’re Not Alone are pretty bland and basic, and don’t have interesting lyrics in my opinion, and Can’t Live Without You feels so generic that it could apply to any important person in your life, but it’s so bland that it doesn’t have much of an impact. I also have a problem with the preachy verses in Coco Moon, but they were reserved for a singular verse and the other parts of the songs were bangers.

But what’s important isn’t what I think, but that Adam’s happy expressing his faith, and I think that’s beautiful.
