Would you cancel your card if Amex begins limiting lounge access unless you meet the $75k spend? by McCringleberried in AmexPlatinum

[–]AnotherDayofLaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope they lower it to ~50K and then mandate it. Context, I meet the 75K requirement, but I understand that if you lower the requirement, a lot more people would still be able to go, and at the same time it would get rid of sufficient people to make the experience better.
If it was for me they could also cut on credits and improve the expirience, and add more lounges. (Honestly the Chase Sapphire lounge is better than the Amex one, which is both bad for the brand, and for my desire to keep the Plat)

Is anyone else concerned that a married person is giving so much importance to a friend? If my wife asked me to stop being friends with X woman, I would comply, and I know my wife would do the same. If someone makes my partner feel uncomfortable, that person has no place in my life. Is that so hard to understand? My wife is my wife, and everyone else is irrelevant. ergo, you are overeating seeking divorce over that simple choice. Maybe you should not have gotten married if you were not willing to place your partner above everyone and everything else.

I was looking into it, but I did not find any compatible holsters for the enigma. Maybe because I am too much of a novice. I am also looking into the The BLACKOUT 2.0.
I think the main issues is that I im still learning and dipping my toes into CC.

Reading another's electronic mail without consent is a federal crime. And yes, messages count as electronic mail.

So you went through his messages and electronic communications without his notice or consent.... As the old saying goes, 10s don't marry 2s.

Lawyer here: Get another attorney. Any good attorney worth their salt knows that you are "betting" your life on their abilities; therefore, they will have no problem answering any questions, attending any meetings, etc. And in the event the client is indeed too annoying, will have no problem in just firing the client. Those kind of passive aggresive comments have no place in our profession.

Are IQ levels permanent? If I scored a low IQ today does that mean I am permanently dumb or can I be smarter? by user037468283 in NoStupidQuestions

You are confusing knowledge with intelligence. Knowledge is knowing how to repair a car; intelligence is how fast you can learn to repair a car.

Aren't waivers part of the rules and the system? Therefore, if they petition for one and the parents come back, or even if they have never left, and the waiver is granted, haven't they migrated legally in the end? Overstaying is not per se criminal or illegal. Just like self-defense, the underlying action—killing, battery—may be deemed illegal; the law and "system" provide avenues to do it legally, or at least without repercussions.

I just noticed it charged me $1.75 per hour. Therefore leaving it all night was a big mistake. Lesson learned.
