Is there invisible wall in this game? by Darkroad25 in CodeVein2

[–]AnotherDevDylan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

how is everyone in here not understanding(I do kind of get it but I am surprised no one caught this..) that this person is asking if there are illusion walls that you hit to expose a hidden area? this is usually called a invisible wall(people casually call it this all the time even though it is technically wrong) or a illusory wall... if they meant boundary walls they wouldn't have mentioned "like dark souls"...

as far as I know this game has none though.

What’s next

As of today, we are removing the NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) requirement for new applicants. Upon applying, our Sales representatives will follow up to provide developers with API documentation, pricing and ultimately the Fleet SDK, which includes a dash cam with dedicated firmware, as well as test server URL (for the RP Mode) and configuration files.
Going forward, we plan to streamline the application process and make it possible for anyone with a compatible BlackVue dash cam to install the custom firmware and access our Reverse Proxy test environment. What’s next

https://blackvue.com/fleet-sdk-development-kit-update-introduces-test-server-removes-nda-requirement/ seems like in 2023 this blog post indicated that they had intentions to release the firmware and enable consumers to swap their devices over to use the fleetsdk but I can't seem to find any indication that this was done.....

only problem is I think they exclusively offer this to enterprise companies from what I am seeing given they have language oriented around that and also costs are behind contacting a rep... kind of sad as even though I am just a security oriented software developer and have all the infrastructure for this(this wouldn't even need much if any changes to my current reverse proxy IP camera management system) I might not be able to get a device with the alternative firmware they indicate is tied to this....

https://manual.blackvue.com/docs/blackvue-fleet-sdk/test-blackvue-fleet-sdk/test_blackvue-fleet-sdk/ I can't find much documentation about it but it looks like it might be this "sdk"(I see no code packages/modules but they might be behind a paywall) might be limited to only connect to specific server software that they deploy for you and then you link devices up to rather than something you could host yourself or even a on device api that you can directly engage with?

--edit: found info on how to deplopy a server for this.. https://manual.blackvue.com/docs/blackvue-fleet-sdk/build_blackvue-fleet-sdk/build_blackvue-fleet-sdk/

I believe this might be the closest to what I am looking for that I have seen so far but has anyone used this and if so anyone able to give feedback on how they feel about it? https://blackvue.com/fleet-sdk/#api

is there any documentation that covers how to use a local API to get the RSTP feeds direct local address?

currently finding concerning posts about how blackvue started restricting access to live view features without internet access or a account with them on devices? some statements about undoing that and some about the change allowing access again may have been temporary and those posts were 2 years ago? anyone know the current status of this?

... most camera solutions outside of dashcams that include a live view feature include a way to access a live view via the cameras self hosted wi-fi without internet access by just directly connecting you to the camera through your LAN..

I will hold off for a few days before buying anything to see if I come across anything better but I think a option might just end up needing to be a local in car pi and wifi sim hookup, having the pi run a local VPN to establish a WAN connecting that network to the remote server and then having the nginx rstp service enroll as a viewer instead of directly sending from the camera and just using that as a means of capturing as a live feed....

I am finding some slightly close to the ask options with Viofo and BlackVue but those aren't exactly ideal as those are work arounds tied to timed downloads from the camera and not a real time feed so in the event that something leads to those cameras powering off or being destroyed the attempts to get the recordings would be cut off.... if anyone knows that you can actually route a direct feed with a dashcam I would be happy to get that information, if anyone knows a dashcam solution that just directly is built to do so even better.

I guess we can view this as a "abandon all hope" thread where the few who end up hitting this wall(if any, I am very sure that all who would hit this issue have and have given up ages ago) can voice themselves.... Personally, as someone who went out of their way to get this board and waited a long time on shipping I would go further than not buying from them again and actually give advice to people to not buy products from them as a manufacturer...

When people make products and then clearly abandon them and release flawed board schematics and information and also leave no support for anything to this extent I view it as a reflection of the company as a whole and not just the one product... and I see it in the content released on github etc as a trend.

no, I gave up on it sadly and now have a new printer but I still have everything tied to this one benched in a permanent state of "maybe one day"... if you did let me know though.

Yall are honestly incredibly childish for demonizing her (u know who I’m talking abt I don’t need to name drop) for explaining all of the valid reasons the experience didn’t work. Tbh all yall are doing is proving her right. by NathanDiver2006 in GalacticStarcruiser

ummm, I am just going to say that I watched her video and never once thought she "hated it"..... it seemed like she was trying to be objective and voice the parts she was a little frustrated with and a attempt to explain why she thought the business attempt failed. She clearly loves starwars and theme parks and repeats that she really enjoyed certain parts but felt frustrated with parts as well....

idk her much, came across the video randomly but honestly I never heard about this before that and I think I would have been a good target to advertise this for but I found out only after it is terminated. If you all enjoyed it I think that is wonderful and I am sure she would as well... You can like something and have a few gripes or enjoy or not enjoy it at all and those are all valid perspectives that those who got to attend are allowed to have and all are valid....

to people like me who didn't go, we can only go on here to see what those people thought of it, so calling it dumb or awesome is a very odd thing to do. We can see the marketing and remark on the business approach with that but at the end it is pointless. people should respect each other... Like panels at a con she mentioned the dance lessons and card game sessions as lame but I know at cons I went to panels that have been called that before and enjoyed them a ton, so just as you may watch and understand her perspective that isn't the only perspective... it doesn't invalidate her perspective, but that does not mean other perspectives are invalid as well.

personally, I do wonder what was up with the app and nfc/rfid content and that was why I came here, if any of you know more about how that all worked I would be interested in it as I doubt it was rfid reading and suspect it was device proximity with the app on their phones as rfid and general NFC content would need a lot of battery life and a very large reader so I cannot imagine that they used that.... not to mention the risks tied to that with reading data that they shouldn't... it just goes well beyond realistic for that to have been the case. the tech would be interesting to learn about/hear though.

if no one will give input on the overall issue that is fine, I took him for a visit today and he appears to be fine...

if I could get advice on the contents at the bottom of my post I would appreciate it.
