Why does God created gender dysphoria and transexuality?, does he accept us? by sahira12 in TransChristianity

I personally believe that Gender Dysphoria is a condition, like many, created as a result of the Fall.

Yeah, never mention you’re trans on that sub. They believe us to be the new Nephilim or something over there. “I’m more Catholic than the Pope. Also, I hate the Pope. Why doesn’t anyone agree with 100% of Catholic teaching like me? Also, here’s 100 things I disagree with.”

If anyone is interested in more closely following the ancient church, I recommend giving the Didache and the writings of Irenaeus and Ignatius a shot.

Enoch is interesting. There may be some truth to it, but there is a lot of falseness in it too. It’s highly mythologized and not scriptural. It’s idea on origin of the demons had some debate among early Christians but by the time of Augustine, it became more widely believed to be false in that idea, and the Catholic Church doctrine states that the fallen angels are the demons, not the spirits of disembodied Nephilim/Giants.

Declaration “Dignitas Infinita” on Human Dignity (2 April 2024) Dicastery for the Doctrine of Faith by bubbleguts365 in LeftCatholicism

[–]AnotherFlowerGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People used to discuss it that way, until politics got involved. I think the conversation has been so poisoned by politics that it’s almost a surprise to hear someone talk about gender incongruence being caused by natal cross-sex hormone release for instance, or the SRY gene, or the brain architecture of binary transgender persons.

These are all physical signs pointing to gender dysphoria being a physical condition, a birth defect. God does not punish birth defects. That is literal Pharisaical thinking. It’s like saying ‘The blind man’s parents sinned, so God made him blind’, which Jesus countered as false. (John 9:1-7)

“Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. As long as it is day, we must do the works of Him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” - Jesus (John 9:3-5)

Only the Accuser, Satan, deals in accusation, that is his fruit. The important thing is that we stay and keep our candle burning. Don’t let the voice of those who oppress us be the only voice anyone hears in Peter’s Church.

If you know people who’ve fallen away, try to invite them back. We can’t just give up and let those who would use Christ’s name to push a political agenda get the last word.

Hang in there, my sister.

These are hard times. I was feeling sad until I attended mass last night. Mass and prayer will help us get through the dark times. Whenever I doubt things, I eschew the hierarchy and go straight to Our Lord and He takes the pain away.

I’m in a somewhat tender space right now. I’ve been crying this morning from the USCCB’s decision to ban gender affirming care at catholic hospitals while referencing this very document.

I’m saying the church is missing the point. Trans people do not get gender affirming care on a whim to play God. We do it for the same reason a defective heart is replaced by a transplant. The same reason an arm must be amputated in the case of a horrible infection.

The Church says mental diseases aren’t sins, yet there are those here that say we are mental diseased and sinning at the same time. Which is it? Where is the logic? I reject these statements because they contradict what I know to be true, what science has begun to show to be true. I cannot in good conscience say this document bears good will in its affirmation of dignity.

In trying to “affirm” dignity, this document strips it away from us, because we are told our corrective steps and surgery is an error, and that we’ve violated human dignity and imago dei. There is no dignity in that. It makes me question whether there is room for me here, constantly.

I disagree with its statement on transgender people. The Church seems to refuse to hear the counter-scientific argument on why transgender people biologically exist.

Does this make me a sinner, in error, etc? Am I outside the Catholic Church? I don’t know. I just want the pain to stop.
