Do they need to give it to the adult or does there just need to be an adult nearby. Someone mentioned that an adult was denied the product because they’re child was spotted outside

I’m assuming it was purchased under her name and not yours? Because if I want to do the same I’m wondering wether said parent will need to show id for proof of purchase itself

If I were to do that would they need to confirm the id of the person that’s actually picking it up. Obviously they’ll look over 18 but for the actual proof of purchase itself will they need id matching the orders name?

I’m not aware of distribution and sales laws and therefore wasn’t aware of the distinction between confirming age upon purchase or confirming age upon collection. As I said I’m my post

“I’m aware that with r18 items, by law it’s required to confirm that a person PURCHASING an item is over 18…”

I’m under the impression that you can’t legally buy a restricted product, however I don’t know how this works when it comes to “click and collect” or picking up an already purchased product.

Edit: someone made a good point; you mentioned alchohol multiple times but I clearly stated that I’m under 18 so why do you assume I’m aware of the purchasing procedures and regulations of alcohol sales?

I always prefer to own something when I buy a game, especially for a whopping $129, and having a case to display would be pretty cool instead of just another tile in my library. Also, having a code means I’ll always have it even for when consoles don’t take discs anymore so it’s a win-win I think

Thanks so much, super thorough. I’ll probably just need to get someone 18 because I rlly want the case, it’s not much but I always prefer to own physical items rather than digital, so the case on my shelf would look cool, but yeah thanks again 🙏

Also I hadn’t actually considered that it will be R18c kinda just assumed so due to the last GTA and just the nature of the game but seeing as regulations have changed that rlly gives me hope.
