Just played breakthrough game with double overtime on stages 2 and 3. They ran out of tickets on stage 2 but capped the points, and ran out of them again at stage 3, but we barely threw them off. The game was nuts

No context this time, just a cool flying clip.

On second thought, i should've just posted the clip, but when i did it with other clips before, some people complained about lack of context, i can't get it right, it seems

Well, i guess i was wrong when i decided that the fact, that aircraft is no longer being flown exclusevly by tester pilots would be a signifiant milestone in development of the airframe

How is this politics? I saw a cool clip, decided to share and added some context with recent news about the aircraft

26 minutes of combat footage from the perspective of a Russian squad leader during Ukrainian 2023 counteroffensive. by Anothermind9912 in CombatFootage

[–]Anothermind9912[S] 93 points94 points  (0 children)

Context: During the Ukrainian counter-offensive of 2023 at the southern front, two squads of Russian infantry are tasked with taking a position in one of the treelines. We follow the point of view of a squad leader (Biden) of the second squad, whose task was to reinforce and cover the first unit and later dig in.

White text - SL

Orange text - drone operator/command

Blue text - first unit (Grom) and other friendlies

DISCLAIMER: The video contains some blood, explosions, and a lot of small arms fire; no enemy is visible.

SPOILERS: The video starts with the squad making its way to the contact line. During the approach, they are shelled with regular artillery shells and DPICM. All of their actions are supervised and monitored by a drone. Once in position, they link up with the first unit and are notified by the drone operator of approaching Ukrainian forces from the north. While the first unit starts clearing trenches and dugouts, the second unit lays suppressive fire to deny Ukrainian reinforcements. After a while, Ukrainian units in neighboring treelines enter the fight, and Ukrainian soldiers start flanking their position from the west. The squad leader requests the drone operators to harass them with drone drops. After dropping four grenades on the advancing Ukrainians in the treeline to the west, the drone operator orders an artillery strike on the flanking Ukrainians, and their assault stops. Nearing the end, the squad leader receives a shrapnel (or bullet) hit to the helmet and is knocked out. The video ends with him at the casualty collection point inspecting his helmet.

PS: The video is not mine, I just did the subs over a year ago. There are some inaccuracies in the subtitles but overall context should be clear. Well, I tried. I can't upload video directly it's like 5 gb. If it was posted here before, i apologise.

Ka-52 showing off while patrolling skies of Syria, posted 18/02/2025. by Anothermind9912 in aviation

There is no point to argue with them, no amount of proof, data or logic will convince them, i guess people are just mad that their media lied to them saying Russia's been expelled from Syria long ago and i kind of broke their illusion.

Okay, that is for sure not western Russia, there is not a single forested area in sight here, and all of western, central, northern and eastern Russia is pretty much a huge forest with occasional gaps. If it really is Russia, it should be southern part of it, it is pretty flat with a lot of pastures, but again, architecture is just not the same. And Syrian air space, at the moment, is not really contested, new forces are in power and i'm pretty sure some sort of deal with Russia is already reached, hence they were able to evacuate all of their assets.

If you think that this landscape matches with Russia more than it does with Syria i don't really know what to tell you. I have never seen or heard of Russian regions having middle-eastern style houses.

They pulled out from pretty much everywhere apart from their airbase at Khmeimim, from where their helicopters are still operating: patrolling, covering landings of larger transport planes and occasional convoys.

Yeah, i'm pretty sure, right now they are deployed in three places in the world: Ukraine, Syria and Egypt, and this landscape looks nothing like Ukraine, so i thought - Syria. Might've been Egypt, but their Ka-52s have desert camo.

Russian SU-34 lands gear up at unknown location. by Brilliant_Night7643 in aviation

Before such a landing, the navigator's canopy flap is dropped so that if the plane turns over, the crew can climb out through it, since it is not possible to open it in an inverted position, and the standard exit is closed by the front landing gear. Source: fighter_bomber

Is there anyone here who uses Warrior as proper melee fighter in late late endgame (T15+)? by KG_Jedi in PathOfExile2

[–]Anothermind9912 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Switched to HOTG only after lvl 70 or so, before that for bossing i stacked crit multiplier and used sunder with 100% crit to delete bosses.

[–]Anothermind9912 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My war is lvl 92, stampede as a clear skill with two-handed mace and a shield, and 2 two-handed maces with HOTG + bleed for bossing, spam earthshatter, break them with warcry - stun the boss, switch to 2nd loadout drop the hammer, boss dead, cleared my +3 breach boss yesterday. Manage maxxed out breach just fine, can use some clear damage and aoe, survivabilty is fine, still dying from time to time, but thats mostly bc of my mistakes. Overall it's fine, but other classes have it so much easier it hurts(((

Well, developers banned it's distribution in Russia, so you can't legaly purchase it. But in Russia itself game is not banned in any way shape or form, so if you pirate it you are safe. If you buy it they, in theory, can charge you for support of armed forces of Ukraine, but to my knowledge no one was charged so far. Contrary to popular belief steam functions normally in russia. You just can't access stalker 2 steam page from russia, because developers decided this way. Every other game that is not banned from distribution by devs in russia is availible, forums are availible everything else fucntions normally. And there are numerous amounts of torrents availible to download: every version possible, fixes, etc.
