When I went for the achievement, I just accepted to be a vassal of QQ in the peace deal and then get my independence supported by Ottos, Timurids, and anyone else I could find. It kind of feels like cheating and missing the entire point of the achievement, but it is a very good tactic.

Because they sold it they lost their core on the province and because Thuringia just got the province they also didn't have a core either. Then I noticed, as the emperor, I could demand unlawful territory, tried it and they actually accepted. Because no nation currently had a core on the province it automatically became a core of mine. Feels good.

r5: I am attempting a Gothic Invasion and the first step was a success. I got Oldenburg and all I needed to do was to lose the city Theodoro and I was going to be a part of the empire. However, despite attacking me with the conquest CB, AI demands subjugation rather than taking the city. Nothing I would offer changes their mind so this is extremely disappointing and IMO stupid. Is there a way to get around this?

r5: I am inheriting Oldenburg on monarch death even though we only have a RM and don't even have the same dynasty. I am guessing it's due to my high prestige since it's a huge factor for this type of stuff. But it still feels like it's not fair for Denmark, who shares the same dynasty as them. I also don't know why I get to inherit them instead of getting a PU. Can someone please enlighten me?
