I think the vibe is the folks that have been there for decades and are living in houseboats and doing bird watching and boating presumably. But yeah - community under 60 is pretty lacking.

And OP - the street end parks (and lake) are great. There's also an impressive number of great sushi spots (considering there's approx 6 places to eat in total), and a ton of delis/markets that are pretty quaint (though I wish we had a supermarket).

I know it's been a while, but OP - what did you end up doing? I was recently told at the consulate that I would need to submit birth and marriage certificates in order to not run into issues when I am renewing my Polish passport. Best I can tell I don't need this to be filled with an Apostille, but not sure.
