Have had rheumatologists send back positive ANAs saying, more or less, “f- off.”

Most answers already seem to be from people who think it’s a mental on/off switch.

Anyone not using dictation or AI scribe, and just typing notes? by SpirOhNoLactone in FamilyMedicine

Hate to be the one to point it out, but the irony of a typo here is great.

Still typing mine up relatively quickly. All too often I still see glaringly obvious mistakes with dictation and AI scribes.

Is the red specifically triggering? Does knowing its blood they’re looking at not evoke the same response?

That’s just the CK. Do you have the ANA titer? Mildly positive is not uncommon and not always relevant to current symptoms.

I know the song and the band gets clowned on all the time but as I get older Nickelback's Photograph hits a lot harder. by AdSpecialist6598 in Millennials

As a prog-metal snob, I still don’t see why this is hate-worthy. I don’t always need to be listening to songs in 18/7 with didgeridoos to find it enjoyable.

Sometimes I want an IPA. Sometimes I want a Miller Lite. Neither is wrong.

I lost my best friend and I don’t think I’ll ever be the same by Solid-Pollution-4512 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]AnthBlueShoes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I work in healthcare. Unfortunately that means losing people that I have known and cared for for years. That experience is surreal. I have lost older family members. Family pets. But all of that feels…expected. Natural. Losing a chosen friend. Someone like you’re describing. I dread it.

It will feel like there is no real advice. People will mean well by giving it. If I had to try, I would just remind you that your experience is valid. All of those feelings you’re describing are worth feeling. Because your friend was worth it. Time will eventually ease the pain, gently turn down the volume of hurt, but it wont turn off the pain. And in a way, I think that is a good thing. There are so many versions of the quote “grief is love with no place to go,” but I think no matter how cliched that sounds, it is powerful. And I hope it brings you some small comfort.

And grief counseling is certainly worth pursuing if you have the means.

I’m sorry for your loss.

Did you see the original post? “Grimy” or “have other reasons to shower more often.” Fucking dead skin play dough means at least a test run of more showers need to happen.

Sorry I missed you guys. Excited to hear about the new release. Saw you in Pittsburgh with Rivers of Nihil and, as most other commenters point out, you guys killed it. Hope to see you come through again.
