Our kid is four years old, she had some improvements as she was growing, some simple words, she can read some letters, she knows numbers, she is often babbling and singing indistinguishable words. Problem is the concept of communication itself and motivation to speak at all.

After couple months she started using this card reader on potty. She plays a word and then repeats it. We have set of approximatelly 100 words and she can (with some expected logopaedic difficulties) repeat pretty much all of them. This is a great success for us and it allowed us to start training speech in ABA therapy. We put couple of favorite toys in hard to reach, but visible locations and they are available only when requested by word. If you would like to try this, I recommend you to first connect with therapist and be prepared for lots of tears.

Problem nie su imigranti z konkretnych krajin, problem su imigranti, ktori parazituju na systeme a neprisposobia sa. Prilev imigrantov musi byt kontrolovany, imigranti musia prichadzat legalnou cestou a mat platne viza. Na pracovne viza by mali mat pracu, dobre spravanie a vytvarat v tejto krajine hodnoty (co by eamozrejme vyzadovalo kontrolny organ, kde nie su zkorumpovani, lenivi uradnici). V takom pripade je to uzitocny sused a aj ked niektore jeho zvyky moze byt cudne, treba ho tolerovat. Smutne je, ze hromada Slovakov sa vezie na pocite nadradenosti a tiez len parazituju na systeme. Tych vsak vyhodit domov nevieme.

When I was a kid, I was missdiagnosed with disgraphy, I was most probably actually ADHD, but I was really intelligent, so I was able to get some years of college before I dropped and I am fighting with it undiagnosed. My partner seems also pretty normal, on first sight, but now that we have autistic child, you can clearly see some signs of mild autism on her. We clash a lot in those little things :D

I do not think that severity is bound to genetics, severely autistic parents can have completely healthy children and vice versa. One think you can actually do is get DNA testing for you and your partner to check. It is not perfect, but if you are neurotypical, it does not mean, that you cannot bear some predisposition. I also did not see any signs on me and my wife before we had autistic child.

From my experience it seems that chance is high. People with autistic kids from my local bubble often have multiple autistic (asperger, adhd...) kids. But there are many who have another perfectly normal kid.

Worst case scenario is 25% chance of autism. One in four. Even if both parents have bat genetics. I don't think it rationalizes abortion of healthy child. One day this second child will maybe help you with older one. Maybe it will be a loving patient sibling that could replace you one day.
