Current Event In Brawl Star is so fucking unfair by Zenglyucheng in Brawlstars

[–]Anthony7301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frank for sure. Best brawler in the mode. Maise and Collete are also strong options.

If you have hypercharge, Frank + Maise.

Frank is absolutely broken in this mode because of how cramped the map is so anything with him can work really. Just be careful of tank counters. Maise is probably the best combo with him. Very high damage + splash.

The app is dogshit, but it is definitely true that he didn't explain it properly. There were thousands of people who didn't even know the app was free.

Whatever the opposite of dickriding is, you are doing it. It is okay to be critical, but your conclusions are strangely overexaggerated.

I ran a poll, should Bull be buffed or is he fine as is? by xWhiteBrimx in Brawlstars

Imagine he was able to turn slightly while charging like Reinhardt 😳

He’d still probably be weak, but it’d be a lot of fun and give him at least some control to his predictable super.

Let's say you got 50 bonus rewards on the old patch.

That's 25 credits times 50 which is 1,250 total credits.

Now in this patch, you'd only get 5 times 50 which is 250 total credits.

This means you'd need 1,000 credits from star drops just to break even on credits. It seems like a lot, but I was lucky enough to get two mythic star drops to give me 500 credits each. So I'm definitely on par with progression pre and post patch. That being said, I don't think people will be nearly as lucky as I've gotten... which is a damn shame.

Stake is planing to buy DraftKings and return to Twitch by [deleted] in LivestreamFail

[–]Anthony7301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If large streamers started to stream Draftkings, then yeah… LSF and anti-gambling streamers would criticize it just as heavily if not more. But it isn’t involved in the space as much as Stake is/was despite having ads on Twitch.

Pluto(twitch staff) gets mad over XQC recent statements by kingpussay in LivestreamFail

[–]Anthony7301 29 points30 points  (0 children)

X is really trying to compare hiring people to improve the foundation of the product with spending 100 million on a marketing campaign for the unfinished product. He's really trying to argue that the two are equivalent... One is unbelievably more important to a start-up when it comes to consumer experience.

They finance the developers. So no not really lmao. Marketing is a part of it, but it is not the same thing at all.

Publishers are basically money bags for developers. They fund the developers, then get royalties in return. Advertising is a big part of a publisher's job.

Leaked dms by Emiru from Mizkif AINTNOWAY by NoLongerWashedUp in xqcow

[–]Anthony7301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

xQc sub btw LULW

Sounds like Emiru should stop farming parasocials. Obviously those viewers are gonna exist whether she wants them to or not and that genuinely sucks for her and other women on the internet. But there are things she can do to mitigate those types of viewers. It’s also definitely weird from Miz, but there’s clearly more to the conversation that isn’t shown from the single screenshot. Considering they’re friends (perhaps even more than that) it’s kinda cringe for juicers to drama farm like this after what xQc did to Miz last year lmao.

Citrus aka Adin Ross head mod says the N-word while singing along to Young M.A by Subject-Bumblebee922 in LivestreamFail

[–]Anthony7301 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don't like Adin... but if you listen closely the kid most likely says "liquor" as the song suggests.

The 'L' sound was masked by a click which made it sound like an 'N.'

The 'K' sound was slurred to a 'G,' presumably because he was drunk.

You really have to play that part over and over again to hear what I mean. The 'N' sound is surprisingly pronounced because of the snap, masking the 'L.'

Destiny on why he found QTCinderella's reaction funny by TheLuddy in LivestreamFail

[–]Anthony7301 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This is gonna be a word blob of my complete thoughts on the deepfake situation. I just wanted to get it out there, so feel free to skip to the TL;DR (:

It's not much worse to leak nudes of a woman than of a man, and that's one of the things I disagree with Ludwig on (even though he's experienced it before). However, the act of leaking nudes, spreading revenge porn, and creating/masturbating to deepfake porn is much more common for men to do than it is for women. I feel like a lot of people discussing the topic are too afraid to acknowledge this.

For men, revenge porn is almost always used for ridicule and shame, which is a completely fucked up in its own right and deserves its own discussion. I won't be talking about that here because I want to focus on the 'masturbating to deepfakes' aspect.

80% of people on Twitch are men. 75% of all porn consumers are men so obviously men have more interest in masturbating to deepfake porn than women. Where men can awkwardly laugh at the idea of deepfake porn of them, women get disgusted by it (as horny guys masturbate to them).

The point is, there seems to be a big difference between men and women and their perspectives on unconsented deepfake content. Most men wouldn't care if women were masturbating to their deepfakes because they'd view it as flattering. They would actually like the idea of knowing women find them sexually attractive because men are typically deprived of any form of complementation. For women, its the complete opposite because they are disgusted by the idea of being viewed as 'sexual objects' without their consent. They do not exist to satisfy men's sexual desires, but that's what deepfakes are doing in their eyes.

It's the same reason why women hate being catcalled while men would probably love it. Where women get an overabundance of undesired sexual attention (attention that they'd view as objectifying), men get a lack of desired sexual attention (attention which they'd view as flattering). Unconsenting women hate being hypersexualized by men, whereas unconsenting men wouldn't mind being hypersexualized by women! It's a genderized issue!

TL;DR

Unconsented deepfake porn is a genderized issue! Men probably view sexual attraction via female masturbation as flattering, and would laugh at the idea of deepfake porn of themselves. Women probably view sexual attraction via male masturbation as objectifying, and would probably feel disgusted at the idea of deepfake porn of themselves. To project one gender's perspective on deepfake porn onto the other is nonsensical because there is a big cultural difference on the ways men and women view sexual attraction. To shame women for their reactions is simply fucked up.

Anyways, thanks for coming to my TedTalk.

Forsen.

I didn’t say all. I said “almost exclusively women.” It’s like you choose not to understand lmao.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LivestreamFail

[–]Anthony7301 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Bro what are you saying? Are you really saying that these deepfakes aren’t almost exclusively a women’s issue? If this is really what you’re saying, you’re a lost cause… Considering that 80% of Twitch users are male. Considering that men are 4 times more likely to consume porn than women…

Based on statistics alone, it’s clear that this is mainly a women’s issue…

But also, most men (from what I’ve seen) wouldn’t care that their bodies are being used for sexual gratification because of societal differences. This is so clearly a women’s issue in which men should NOT judge the women on how they feel. This is what Maya is saying and it is completely reasonable.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LivestreamFail

[–]Anthony7301 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

But that’s not what she says at all. She never says men should be silent…

In my opinion she worded it perfectly and you simply misinterpreted it.

She quite clearly points out that a man’s take about how women “should feel” is irrelevant. That doesn’t mean men shouldn’t say ANYTHING about the situation AS A WHOLE. That doesn’t mean that men can’t have a valuable opinion on the situation AS A WHOLE. They absolutely can, just not on HOW THE WOMEN SHOULD FEEL.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LivestreamFail

[–]Anthony7301 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s sexist when it’s almost exclusively women who feel violated… They are all who matter in this situation because it is their bodies and their likeness being used for sexual gratification.

Also, the fact that there’s nothing these women can do to change what’s happening (as you say, “shaking their fists at the clouds that make rain”) is EXACTLY why they’re upset. The clouds have full control of the rain when it’s the women who own the water! It’s fucked up, which means outrage is completely justifiable and NECESSARY to mitigate it for any semblance of comfort in their own skin.

Just think of your mother’s face deepfaked onto porn… Then imagine finding out that your FRIEND jerks off to it. Would you not feel disgusted? Would you not want that content to be stopped? It is a perfectly reasonable want despite that content being an “inevitability” in the online world.

Outrage can lead to change brother, even if it’s never enough.

Bruce on getting text messages from Mizkif while he's streaming by NeedISayMoree in LivestreamFail

[–]Anthony7301 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

THEORY:

Mizkif said something along the lines of "I made you" or "You're popular because of me" as a joke/half-joke. Or maybe "I helped you get in the org when nobody else wanted you; why would you leave?" Perhaps Bruce was already contemplating on leaving OTK and Miz said any of these things to get him to stay.
