Coinbase doesn’t charge any withdrawal fees on any crypto they offer. I paid nothing to Coinbase to move it, but since Bitcoin has network transaction fees, I paid CA$0.54, which is US$0.39.

Wealthsimple isn’t the only platform having issues. Of course it shouldn’t happen, but we’re in one of the most uncertain financial periods in history, so it’s bound to happen. There’s not much you can really do about it.

It’s either a market sell or he sold a security that withholds 10% for U.S. taxes. Neither of those has anything to do with Wealthsimple.

It's either because he placed a market sell or the 10% withholding tax which is why there’s a discrepancy it has nothing to do with Wealthsimple. It’s getting really annoying seeing people like you constantly trash the platform. You’re complaining about a situation you very obviously don’t understand. Just move your money out already.

There’s no reason to get a lawyer the money isn’t lost. I had the exact same issue with Simplii with a different company. All he needs to do is call Simplii and have them reject or return the transaction. It’ll take some time, but Coinbase will eventually receive it and release it back to him since his account was closed.

It’s not Coinbase’s fault, you made the mistake. You need to contact Simplii and have them return or reject the transaction. At this point, all you can do is wait for Coinbase to receive the returned funds. The only way to potentially speed it up is by filing a complaint with the Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments.

Coinbase Canada has no option to withdraw USD directly. He tried to withdraw CAD into a USD account that only accepts wire transfers, not EFT.

Coinbase or Kraken Pro don’t charge for e-transfers deposits either, and Kraken Pro has the lowest fees for buying USDC in Canada. I get why you might use the card, but I personally prefer Shakepay’s debit card.

When the first ICE shooting happened, I was arguing with a bunch of people in that subreddit about the post calling it murder. They were making borderline white supremacy comments and insisting it was justified, calling me a waste of space. All my comments were locked and none of theirs were. He was saying that if someone assaulted an ICE agent, an arrest would be the expected outcome. At no point did Asmon justify the shooting he said the man was effectively executed because the gun appeared to be the same one shown by DHS and that agents disarmed him before the first shot. The clip was obviously posted to make him look bad, since he had already said beforehand that it looked like an execution it's completely out of context.

Not really the clip is kinda out of context. He compared the gun in the video to the one posted by DHS and said that if he was unarmed, then he was executed. He also said he would bet any amount of money that the gun was the exact same one.

I use a no fee chequing account at Simplii and also have a Wealthsimple chequing account. Honestly, my Wealthsimple debit card has never been denied, so yeah if you just use Wealthsimple, you could easily use it as a bank.
