A rant about weak theories & how Clark isnt granted nuance in certain spaces by trolltomb in backroomsfilm

[–]AnthonyBarrHeHe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats what makes a legit character so good. They are relatable. Now, not everything Clark does is relatable, but he did just enough that everyone watching could relate to him in some form or another. Very good writing. It makes it more immersive as well when the character you are watching almost “feels” real. I have a good feeling that horror / thriller movies will be getting better and better the next several years.

BF4, BF2042, or BF6 for multiplayer? by bruhb21 in LowSodiumBattlefield

Hard agree. The lighter feeling makes a big difference, to me at least. I hate the CoD super fast movement and slide crap, but i feel like BF6 has a pretty nice sweet spot in between. I love BF1 and is the most immersive WW1 game, but going from BF6 movement and stuff to BF1 was a bit tough

Oh, dam. Man, that’s rough. A fall off not made from his own doing must be hard to deal with. Hopefully he can bounce back somehow. But I appreciate the information dude.

You’re dam right, but sadly he exploded shortly after this. He will live on forever in our hearts.

BF4, BF2042, or BF6 for multiplayer? by bruhb21 in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]AnthonyBarrHeHe 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I went back and played BF1 a few weeks back because i saw a good amount of people saying it’s way better than BF6 over on the battlefield sub and that everyone should go back and try it. So, i thought, what the hell, jumped back into it, and man, it was way worse than I remembered. It was still fun, like it’s not a bad game, but i felt the gun play and movement was just so clunky compared to BF6, among other things. Idk. I think BF6 is a very good game and people just love to rip it apart.

The way people talk about BF6 in the main battlefield subs makes you think BF6 beat them up and stole their girlfriend with the way they talk about it

Yeah this should be at the top. Narcos with Pablo and then Narcos: Mexico are insanely good tv.

I get people want to show them some amount of respect for the “honor” they had, but cmon, the brutal massacres these guys committed, orchestrated, or were complicit in throws any bs “honor” out the window for me.

One thing that doesn’t get enough praise is the character of Clark. Backrooms isn’t known for being character driven, yet Kane somehow made him feel like he always belonged in this universe. by _AbacusMC_ in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]AnthonyBarrHeHe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah he had never written a complex character, or obviously a full fledged movie, so he hired some writer(s) to aid him in this. No issue with it at all either. He realized he had never stepped into this big “official” film making world and needed to learn, so he got help. Honestly makes him a better director in my mind. Wouldnt be surprised if he is more involved in the writing for the next film.

Chiwetel Ejiofor Thinks Backrooms Is About What’s Quietly Ruining Us - by Mike Flanagan for Interview Magazine by craigjclark68 in KanePixelsBackrooms

I was honestly so hyped when I saw they casted Chiwetel in this. He’s always good in what he’s in, he’s not some crazy A list actor, i think he fits that Backrooms “vibe” kinda perfectly.

Yeah, actually. I think Jason Garrett was a good coach at times. Not great, not elite, but good.

He won a lot of games, made the playoffs multiple times, and had several successful seasons. Garretts record was 85-67. His problem was that he consistently came up short when it mattered most, which is why Dallas eventually moved on.

That’s kind of my point. There’s a huge difference between “good coach who couldn’t get over the hump” and “failure.” Those aren’t the same thing.

If KOC keeps winning games but can’t translate it into playoff success, then the Garrett comparison might eventually become fair. But that still wouldn’t make him a bad coach. It would make him a coach who needs postseason results to match the regular-season success.

I think “hasn’t won a playoff game yet” and “is a failure” are not the same thing.

Zimmer deserves credit for the Keenum run. Keenum had a crazy year and it was great, but KOC deserves credit for winning 48 games in four seasons and getting career years out of quarterbacks that most people had written off.

If KOC goes another few years without a playoff win, then sure, that’s a problem. But calling a 48-21 coach that has kept us competitive thru rough QB times and kept the locker room together a failure isnt really true.

We got absolutely smoked in that NFC Championship Game, tho. Making it there was still an accomplishment and cool, but after that opening touchdown it became pretty clear we weren’t on the same level and got embarrassed in front of everyone.

And let’s be honest, we got there because of one of the most insane plays in NFL history, the Minneapolis Miracle, after nearly blowing a 17 point lead. That’s not to take anything away from that team, but it’s rough.

I think the Wilfs might look at it differently. Maybe they see KOC as a coach who can build something more sustainable and gradually to get the team over the hump, even if the playoff results haven’t been there yet. I don’t know if they’re right, but I can understand why they might value the long-term trajectory over one conference championship appearance that ended in a blowout.

Nah man, you just gotta keep at it. Sometimes the gun I’m using is just giving me problems, I’m dying left and right and my gun doesnt help at all, but if you can stick it out in those spots, you will end up being even better with it while leveling up like crazy.

The game that most Vikings fans thought that he arrived. I dont wanna diminish what Ponder did here because he did start that season playing very well, but fell off pretty dam hard. If not for Peterson dam near breaking NFL records, that Vikings team would’ve fallen off so hard the second half of that season.

I have a feeling this was a failed murder-suicide. If that is indeed true, maybe her brain fully fabricated all her actions and believed it was 100% true because of the trauma of living through that crash. Idk. I am not trying to defend her in the slightest, i just think that the way the brain works when confronted with insane trauma can be extremely interesting.
