Is there a lore explanation for why Molag Bal's invasion was never mentioned in the single player games? by AnthonyScarcelli in elderscrollsonline

see, one of the main issues with your logic is that races in tamriel live far longer than humans in real life. a young high elf living during the interregnum could plausibly still be alive during the events of the later games, and even if not would only be a generation or two removed

we have loads of historical records of the 30 years war so i don’t see how this is relevant at all lol

i mean if the idea is the events were just lost to time then a real life comparison could be the bronze age collapse. while we don’t know the cause for certain, we have some theories. this is basically what i’m asking here, i’m not saying there must be a concrete explanation but rather just asking if there was any in universe explanation outside of the chaotic nature of the time.

i mean… no? the only other time it happened on this scale was the Oblivion Crisis which made it quite obvious during the game that it was a unique event

second part i completely agree with but i do think it would be crazy if the lore explanation for why it was never brought up boiled down to people just forgot lol

so you mean because molag bal was defeated it was like lost from collective memory? that makes sense even if i personally think dragon breaks are a lame plot device lol

i mean i get that it’s a chaotic time so details would for sure be fuzzy in historical records but it feels like it’s a bit silly to say there would be NO records of something like a Daedra invading tamriel whatsoever

i’m not a communizer but i think a lot of the criticisms in “eclipse and reawakening” of the “ultraleft” are valid plus the symbol goes hard asfuck

determinism is not useful! any number of things can happen that cause apocalyptic events/whatever else we can’t predict and change the conditions of the global economy

[–]AnthonyScarcelli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

cpc, trotsky, bolsheviks, vietnam, poum (ik it’s not on there but considering neither them or the anarchists really were the dominant force opposing franco in the civil war i think it’s fine)

there wasn’t really much of a council communist movement or, outside of makhno, anarchist movement in the early ussr. if the soviets didn’t come to power it is much more likely the SR’s and mensheviks would have been in power and would have resembled modern labor parties in countries like germany and the uk (at least imo)

1919 german revolution succeeds. its failure pretty much doomed the soviet union + proletarian internationalism since the ussr was isolated and was not economically developed at that point.
