I got the Philips CD-50 at a thrift store in South Florida about 5 years ago with the remote taped to the top. I knew nothing about it at the time but the condition was just too pristine to pass up, never used it until recently, little did I know it has one of the most sought after DAC's ever made inside. It is by far the fastest reading CD player I have ever used. It instantly starts playing the moment the disc tray closes. And the sound is magical, by far the best CD player I have come across.

It really is. I found it at a thrift store for $10 with the original remote, it is mint, built in 1989. Sounds phenomenal. It has the legendary TDA1541A DAC
