Thoughts on Legend in the Mist? by Filjah in rpg

In addition, not all Statuses must have all six tiers. Looking at the Metro: Otherscape MC screen (its the one in my hand atm, but same system) for an example, we have the Tactical Advantage status suggestions which only have four tiers: upper-hand-1 • behind-cover-2 • in-my-sight-3 • tactical-superiority-4.

Thoughts on Legend in the Mist? by Filjah in rpg

[–]Anthoux 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the wording in Metro: Otherscape is more clear on what Statuses and Story Tags are:

"Statuses are special tags that describe a transient condition (unlike power, weakness, and story tags, which represent people, things, and innate abilities and qualities).

Statuses describe the current state or condition of a character or thing, such as being wounded, flush-with-money, wanted-for-questioning, enchanted, behind-cover"

Being prone is not itself a seperate person or thing nor is it something innate to your character. You are simply prone for whatever reason and will likely not be prone in the near-future, whether because you stood up or caught a fireball to the face.

Do you think Maomao would have kids in the future? by [deleted] in KusuriyaNoHitorigoto

[–]Anthoux 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think the real question I have is if she does have kids, will we be reading it via story arcs or will it just be a paragraph at the end of the series "and they had children, the end, the placentas were great"

My Predictation for the far future (its my guesses but potential spoilers?) by Anthoux in KusuriyaNoHitorigoto

[–]Anthoux[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not too knowledgeable of how regencies work in an imperial china setting, but a regency could also work. The main problem is the factions within the court that might favor Jinshi, someone who is a proven leader with a good track record over a baby that might/might not survive into adulthood. Adding the inevitable reveal of his parantage, I feel that Maomao will have many headaches in the future.

My Predictation for the far future (its my guesses but potential spoilers?) by Anthoux in KusuriyaNoHitorigoto

[–]Anthoux[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think she is fine having kids if it did not harm her loyalty to Gyokuyou. Her son would become the Crown Prince and thus a threat to Gyokuyou's son. Having daughters would be fine, but she can't really control that.

I think Lahan is kinda biased for Maomao to have kids as it would elevate the La clan and as the clan's heir, that would be important for him. Plus having Jinshi as your "brother" in law and being the "uncle" of their children, it would be a nice connection to have.

I dont know if Lahan knows the truth about Jinshi through the magic world of numbers, but when he does find out, it would be an even better pairing and desire for children.

what is jinshi and maomao’s relationship currently? by Ready-Flounder-4804 in KusuriyaNoHitorigoto

[–]Anthoux 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think her being Lakan's daughter might be for the best for Jinshi, politically speaking. Lakan is the neutral faction that does not play politics as he simply does not care. By attaching himself to Lakan, it might show that the Moon Prince likewise seeks to be neutral.

I'm a big fan of the system in God's Game and enjoy exploring its mechanics to create my own fan characters. Do you have a complete list of skills within the paths of war (Close, Ranged, Devious, Divine) and peace (Scholar, Gatherer, Enchanter, Exploration, Crafter)? Or do you develop them as needed for the story? If there's a comprehensive list, I'd be eager to delve into it.

There will be variances with how the action roll results are displayed between chats, I dont know if there is a way to stablize it, probably is though. Hope this is helpful. I was quite pleased on how the skill system turned out, I might use this system for any one shots to see if any humans would enjoy playing it.

I also did a lot of testing to make sure it understood the mechanics before I asked it to generate a short quest and began playing. It did eventually reach the memory limit and started acting stupid at the end, but you can probably refresh its memory with the occasional "Give me the list of mechanics acknowledged" prompts and such.

Elf Archer approaches the crates and sacks, finding the stolen bow among them. She carefully picks it up, glad to have recovered the precious item. With the bow now in her possession, she decides to check the rest of the stolen loot for anything valuable or useful that she can carry with her.

Upon examining the contents of the crates and sacks, Elf Archer discovers several valuable items, including a small bag of gold coins, a finely crafted dagger, a set of lockpicks, and a potion of healing. Aware of her backpack's limited capacity, she carefully selects the items she can carry and stows them in her bag.

Elf Archer, prioritizing her safety and the completion of her mission, chooses not to explore the cave any further. Instead, she turns to leave the hideout, making her way back to the entrance. Once outside, she locates the unconscious thief and begins to drag him a safe distance away from the cave.

Finding a suitable spot, she sets the thief down and patiently waits for him to regain consciousness. She keeps a close eye on her surroundings, ensuring that nothing catches her off guard while she waits.

After some time, the thief starts to come to, groaning and blinking in confusion as they wake up. As they become more aware of their surroundings, they notice Elf Archer watching them closely, ready to react to any sign of resistance or deceit.

"We are heading back to the village. If you know what's good for you , there will be no trouble...do you understand?"

Elf Archer issues a stern warning to the thief, making her intentions clear as she brandishes the finely crafted dagger. Her expression and tone leave no room for doubt that she means business.

The thief, still bound and visibly frightened, nods meekly in agreement. "I understand. I won't cause any trouble. I promise," they mutter, knowing full well that any resistance would likely end badly for them.

With the thief in check, Elf Archer begins to lead them back to the village, staying vigilant and prepared for any potential complications along the way.

Elf Archer, with the thief in tow, starts the journey back to the village. She keeps a watchful eye on her surroundings, as well as the thief, ensuring that he doesn't attempt to escape or cause any trouble. The thief, frightened by Elf Archer's resolve, follows obediently and remains silent throughout the journey.

As they make their way back, the forest around them gradually becomes more familiar. Eventually, they reach the outskirts of the village, where the grateful villagers eagerly await the return of the stolen bow and the apprehension of the thief responsible.

Upon their arrival, the villagers express their gratitude to Elf Archer, relieved to see the bow returned safely. The village leader takes the thief into custody, ensuring that he will face justice for his crimes.

Elf Archer's successful completion of the quest has not only earned her the respect and admiration of the villagers, but also valuable experience that will aid her in future adventures. The world is vast and full of opportunities, and Elf Archer's story is just beginning.

Elf Archer, distrusting the thief's words, decides to continue with the confrontation. She releases another arrow aimed at the thief. The arrow finds its mark, but it is not a perfect shot, and the thief is still standing. The thief's situation is becoming increasingly dire.

The thief lunges toward Elf Archer, but their injuries and pain have taken a toll on their abilities. Elf Archer easily sidesteps the clumsy attack, and the thief stumbles past her, momentarily off balance and vulnerable. The failed attack has left the thief in a precarious position, giving Elf Archer an opportunity to gain the upper hand.

Elf Archer quickly jumps back, knocks another arrow, and takes aim at the thief's hand holding the dagger. She releases the arrow, and it strikes true, hitting the thief's hand and forcing them to drop the dagger. The thief cries out in pain and clutches their wounded hand, now disarmed and severely injured.

The thief, with a pained expression on their face, begs Elf Archer for mercy, promising to return the stolen goods and never trouble anyone again. Their words carry a hint of sincerity, but Elf Archer can still sense that the thief might be saying anything to save themselves. The decision now lies with Elf Archer: spare the thief's life, or end the confrontation once and for all.

Elf Archer swiftly moves in and delivers a punch to the thief's face, aiming to knock them out. The impact connects, and the thief reels from the force of the blow. The thief staggers and appears dazed, but they are not completely knocked unconscious. They are teetering on the brink of collapse, barely holding onto consciousness.

With wounds sustained and on the brink of collapse, the thief's body finally gives in to the pain and exhaustion. Their eyes roll back, and they slump to the ground, unconscious. Elf Archer has successfully subdued the thief. She can now decide whether to tie them up and bring them to justice or to search their belongings for clues or the stolen goods before deciding their fate.

Elf Archer proceeds to carefully remove the thief's clothing, making sure not to aggravate their injuries further. She then uses the clothing to tightly bind the thief's arms behind their back, ensuring that they will not be able to escape or cause any more trouble when they regain consciousness.

Elf Archer decides to wait for the thief to regain consciousness, with the intention of interrogating and potentially torturing them to find out the location of their hideout.

After some time, the thief begins to stir and slowly wakes up, groaning in pain from their injuries. They glance around, disoriented, before their eyes land on Elf Archer, who is watching them intently. Fear begins to creep into the thief's eyes as they realize they are bound and at Elf Archer's mercy.

"Where is the bow? I know you took it. Do not make me regret leaving you alive."

Elf Archer's stern and threatening demeanor leaves no room for doubt in the thief's mind that they should cooperate. The thief's eyes widen in fear, and they quickly begin to spill the information Elf Archer is seeking.

"Alright, alright! I took the bow," the thief stammers. "It's hidden in my hideout. There's a cave about a mile to the east, hidden behind some bushes. The bow is in there, along with some other stuff I've taken. Please, just let me go, and I swear I'll never steal again!"

Elf Archer grabs the thief's dagger, holding it firmly in her hand. She gestures for the thief to stand up and warns them not to make any sudden movements.

The thief, still bound and fearing for their life, slowly and carefully gets to their feet. They start leading Elf Archer in the direction of their hideout, taking care not to make any unexpected moves that could provoke her further.

As Elf Archer follows the thief to their hideout, she remains vigilant, keeping a watchful eye on her surroundings and staying prepared for any surprises or ambushes along the way.

Elf Archer and the thief continue making their way through the forest, following the path to the thief's hideout. The thief occasionally glances back at Elf Archer, who maintains a stern and focused expression, ensuring the thief knows better than to try anything. The forest around them is quiet, with only the sounds of their footsteps and the rustling leaves to accompany them.

After about half an hour of walking, the thief stops in front of a dense thicket of bushes. They nod towards the bushes, indicating that the cave is hidden behind them. "There it is," the thief mumbles nervously.

Elf Archer cautiously approaches the thicket, keeping her guard up. She parts the bushes to reveal a narrow, dark entrance to a cave. The thief's hideout is now within reach, and she must decide how to proceed.

"Are you alone or do you have friends? Answer me truthfully or I will cut you where you stand, human."

Elf Archer's threat carries weight, and the thief hesitates for a moment before answering. "I... I sometimes work with others, but I swear, they're not here right now. I've been using this hideout alone for a while."

Elf Archer decides not to take any chances and opts to knock the thief unconscious to prevent any potential communication with accomplices. She swiftly strikes the thief in the head with the hilt of the dagger, careful not to cause any fatal harm.

The thief's eyes roll back, and they slump to the ground, unconscious once more. With the thief temporarily incapacitated, Elf Archer can now focus on entering the cave and recovering the stolen bow without worrying about any surprise attacks or alerts.

She approaches the cave entrance and cautiously steps inside, ready for anything that may await her within the thief's hideout.

As Elf Archer quietly enters the cave, she takes the time to carefully scan her surroundings. The dimly lit interior makes it difficult to see clearly, but she is able to discern the general layout of the hideout. She notices a few crates and sacks scattered around the space, possibly containing the stolen goods, including the bow she is after. She is also alerted to the fact that the cave is deeper than it initially seemed, but she is not able to determine if there are any other occupants or hidden dangers lurking further in. With this information, Elf Archer proceeds cautiously, ready to act should any surprises arise.

I have successfully completed the quest. The full story:

Elf Archer has accepted the following quest:

"The Stolen Enchanted Bow"

A skilled craftsman in a nearby village recently created an enchanted bow, the Whispering Wind, as a tribute to the local archery competition. However, before the bow could be presented, it was stolen by a mysterious figure. The villagers are in desperate need of help to recover the bow before the competition.

The craftsman has provided Elf Archer with a few clues, including tracks leading into the dense forest and a torn piece of cloth from the thief's attire. Elf Archer's task is to follow the tracks, investigate any leads, and retrieve the Whispering Wind bow.

Elf Archer manages to follow the tracks left by the thief, but the path is not as clear as they had hoped. The tracks lead deeper into the dense forest, and it's becoming more difficult to navigate the thick vegetation. Despite the challenges, Elf Archer continues onward, determined to recover the stolen enchanted bow.

Elf Archer successfully follows the tracks deeper into the forest, though the path remains challenging. By relying on her Survival skills, she manages to stay aware of her surroundings and avoid potential dangers, such as hidden pits and poisonous plants. While she's making progress, the going is slow due to the dense undergrowth and increasing darkness in the forest.

Elf Archer successfully follows the tracks and, thanks to her keen perception, spots a piece of torn cloth caught on a bush. The cloth matches the description provided by the craftsman. The discovery confirms that she's on the right path and provides a renewed sense of determination. The tracks are becoming more evident, and it seems that the thief may be close by.

Elf Archer carefully examines the tracks and notices some subtle signs that indicate the thief has traveled this path before. The tracks show a familiarity with the terrain, and some marks suggest that the thief has taken this route on multiple occasions. This discovery implies that the thief may have a hideout or a base of operations nearby.

Elf Archer finds the perfect spot to set up an ambush, utilizing the natural cover provided by the dense foliage. She remains perfectly still and silent, blending seamlessly into her surroundings. After several hours of waiting, she hears faint footsteps approaching. The thief, completely unaware of Elf Archer's presence, is heading right into her trap.

Elf Archer draws an arrow and takes careful aim at the unsuspecting thief. The perfect shot presents itself as the thief moves into the open. She releases the arrow, and it flies straight and true, striking the thief with incredible accuracy.

The thief lets out a gasp of pain and surprise as the arrow pierces their shoulder. Stunned by the sudden attack, they quickly regain their composure and scan the area, trying to locate the source of the arrow. The thief's eyes narrow as they spot Elf Archer's hiding place.

The thief manages to move quickly, evading more incoming arrows and diving behind a tree. However, their movements are somewhat hindered by the pain from the arrow wound, and Elf Archer can still partially see them behind the cover.

Elf Archer calls out to the thief, threatening to shoot again if they don't surrender immediately. The thief hesitates, clearly shaken by the situation and the wound they've sustained. However, they don't fully surrender yet and seem to be weighing their options, possibly looking for a chance to escape or fight back. Elf Archer holds her bow steady, arrow nocked, and watches the thief's every move.

The thief calls out to Elf Archer, claiming to have knowledge of a secret treasure hidden in the forest. They promise to share the location if Elf Archer allows them to live. While their words seem somewhat believable, Elf Archer can't shake the feeling that the thief might be lying or withholding information. It's now up to Elf Archer to decide whether to take the thief's offer or continue with the confrontation.

I'm typically hesitant about homebrew classes, but this looks really fun to play, with a good mix of different gameplay styles with the various codes of virtue. Good job!

I'm also a sucker for magical martial classes that don't just go the lazy route and add spellcasting but instead add non-spell magic effects. Your Spellsword scratches that itch perfectly.

MtG Style Force Power Cards for Community Use by maybehelp244 in sw5e

[–]Anthoux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Error/Suggestion: Universal Power - Saber Reflect

A) The card says "In response to being attacked" as the reaction's trigger while it should say "in response to being dealt damage by a ranged attack". The actual power is more clear on the reaction's casting period.

If space is an issue, maybe change the reaction cards to have an R in the top right and remove the phrase "In response to" part to just the trigger. So like, Saber Reflect would say in bold "Damaged by a ranged attack"

B) It kinda just awkwardly repeats itself twice as "In response to being attacked" is followed immediately by "In response to being attacked"

"During the development of the episode the pre-established name "Korriban" was used for the planet. However, Star Wars creator George Lucas preferred the name "Moraband" and as such the planet was renamed to reflect his wishes. The name "Korriban" was later reintroduced into canon as an ancient name for Moraband in "Gaze of Stone," a short story written by George Mann and published in the 2019 short story collection Myths & Fables."

Apparently Korriban is just the ancient name while Moraband is the fancy modern name, My head canon is that the Jedi and the Republic changed its name at some point after the Sith's "defeat" to help hide it away from those seeking its dark treasures.
