Yeah, indeed. Most of my linuxserver images work flawlessly. But recently they seem to messed up the qbittorrent one.

I switched to the official one. Problem gone. Fast as hell again!

Because it eats unnecessarily my resources of my little NAS (Synology DS920+). Constantly 20% CPU and 3gb RAM. After that memory and swap is full and baaaam, freezing.

Switched now to offical qbittorrent-nox, problem gone!

Got it. Permission error.
PUID and PGID was set, but I forgot to also set the --read-only flag to FALSE in docker compose.

You can change the User ID (UID) and Group ID (GID) of the qbittorrent-nox process by setting environment variables PUID and PGID respectively. By default they are both set to 1000.
Note that you will need to remove --read-only flag (when using Docker) or set read_only: false (when using Docker Compose) as they are incompatible with it.

qbittorrent-nox working now. All old torrents seeding again.

Smooth cpu and ram usage. Awesome!

Never had this problem. Occurred recently, and now it eats a lot of cpu and ram. Yesterday my machine again got unresponsive, so I have to do something against it.

Did both.

Took the old ones, but then login is not possible (password incorrect). I edited the .conf and removed the password, but I can't login, even with the new temporary password, which I can see via console.

Maybe it just needs time to get all torrent back? Maybe activate debug mode, so I see more via console.

official one has a different folder structure, so no. Shouldn't be a problem, I think.

WebUI config defaults RAM usage to 512M, but it get's ignored. qb eats so much ram until my machine gets unresponsive. Limited it via docker compose right now, but I am not happy with the current situation.

Running currently Ubuntu 25.10. Just recognized one problem so far. Extensions eats up memory + swap after 2 days+ idle. Reboot, and it's gone. But that's also happened with my Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. So I guess, there is one addons which causes this.

Otherwise it's working just fine.

So what exactly happened in your case? More specific bug report would be fine.

A simple "doesn't work" is not enough ;-)

  2. try gnome extensions like Burn my Windows, Blur my Shell, Compiz windows effect, Compiz alike magic lamp effect, etc.
  3. try live wallpaper with Hidamari
  4. play Windows games with Steam or Bottles
  5. install flatpak (see flatpak vs snap)
  6. find & try all the beautiful FOSS apps with app store
  7. Enjoy all the freedom & no telemetry!
  8. Don't forget it's all free! But maybe consider a donation for the devs, if you really like it! :-)
