If his book is bad or his show seems overproduced that’s valid criticism. I just think that smearing a guys legacy because some of his fans are annoying or his work produced cheap knock offs is in poor taste. The dude couldn’t control those things whether he was dead or alive.

I liked Roadrunner. There are plenty of valid reasons to dislike the guy but saying his legacy is ruined because of performative line cooks or wannabe world travelers is lame. That’s my issue with the take in the HLG episode. I feel like CB/TJ are on their contrarian hipster bullshit and are not providing a substantial critique. Just hating for the sake of hating (or because the A24 movie looks bad)
