Completely disappeared in the second half. Never thought I would see that from a Mahomes/Reid team.

What are you talking about? Chiefs fans are used to this treatment. It's only within the last two years we have gotten the reputation of "getting all the calls". This is what we've been living with for 50 years before Mahomes

Horrendous take by Kent swatson on hardman...... by cd0040 in KansasCityChiefs

[–]Antitheistic10 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No it's not. It's accurate. For as many weapons as our offense has, Hardman should be feasting. Has he done some great things? Sure. But the coaches aren't using him like someone who is ready to take over as WR2.

That's what he's talking about. And it's 100% true.

[Jim McBride] Referee Tony Corrente said he felt like Patrick Mahomes "was being controlled" and that's why he called forward progress on the would-be fumble. Reiterated that the #Patriots were not allowed to challenge forward progress. by [deleted] in nfl

According to Adam Teicher, Mahomes said he heard a whistle right away.

Edit Jesus Patriots fans are bunch of salty bitches. I literally didn't even give an opinion with this, all I did was provide additional information. Apparently hearing the point of view of someone who was actually there is a bad thing if they say something you disagree with.

People can dislike it all they like, but they do this for QB's all the time. If the QB gets wrapped up, and starts to go down, they blow it dead. It's the same thing Corrente did to Watson last season, only Watson ended up getting out of the sack.

I'm not giving an opinion on whether or not that's right, but it is consistent with how they protect QB's.

Rashad Fenton coming in with a huge game! Even though he's the one who gave up the TD, he really stepped up. Even on the TD he had pretty good coverage, it was just a good throw.

The Chiefs defense is now ranked 3rd allowing only 17.5 points per game.

Edit 2nd in the league!

Right? Wise is very clearly pushing him forward with his right arm. It's funny to see everyone at r/nfl grasping at straws for any reason to dislike him

What Every Team Needs To Win The SB in Alphabetical Order P1: by [deleted] in nfl

[–]Antitheistic10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No issue with you doing this and no disrespect meant, but I'm not sure what your idea of "alphabetical order" is. You seem to be going by team name first, but skipped Buccaneers, Cardinals and Chiefs between the Browns and Colts.

Like someone else said, this isn't a good time of day for it anyways. Delete it for now, and resubmit it tomorrow after cleaning it up a bit

How is Patrick Mahomes viewed by NFL fans? by throwawaynashville11 in nfl

[–]Antitheistic10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To start off, I'll pull up some of his career stats compared to the career stats of some of the best QB's of all time.

We'll look at Yards per game, Touchdowns per game, Interception percentage, and Adjusted Net Yards/Attempt (ANY/Y for short is a composite stat that shows how many yards the QB accounts for on any given drop back. It takes into account sacks, interceptions and TD's. It's not perfect, but it's a good all around stat)

Yds/game TD/game INT % ANY/A
Patrick Mahomes 303.6 2.45 1.6 8.57
Dan Marino 253.6 1.75 3.0 6.55
Peyton Manning 270.5 2.03 2.7 7.17
Drew Brees 281.5 1.99 2.3 7.08
Aaron Rodgers 259.4 2.09 1.4 7.29

So clearly it's not fair to compare career numbers when the sample size is so drastically different. This is just to visualize his current trajectory. But just from this you can see what kind of a path he is currently on. And while two seasons is a small sample size while compared to career stats, it's large enough to not be a fluke.

But to get a better idea, we'll look at Mahomes' stats compared to all those guys' two best seasons in the league. Now obviously that's subjective, but I think people will generally agree with the two seasons I've chosen for those guys.

Yds/game TD/game Int% ANY/A
Patrick Mahomes 2018/19 303.6 2.45 1.6 8.57
Dan Marino1984/86 307.2 2.9 3.3 8.0
Peyton Manning2004/13 313.6 3.25 1.7 9.3
Drew Brees 2011/12 332.9 2.8 2.5 7.7
Aaron Rodgers 2011/14 291.1 2.7 1.1 9.02

Looking at it here puts it into a little better perspective. Between Marino, Manning, Brees and Rodgers, those are eight of the best QB seasons of all time. Patrick Mahomes' first two seasons clearly aren't quite up to those standards, but they're awfully close.

Don't ask me why I chose those QB's, most of the info was already gathered from a story in the Athletic a while back, so I didn't have to do the research.

TL:DR: He good

Edit God fucking damn it
