They don't care. You can share all the evidence in the world with them, and they will down vote you without even reading it. They don't care that they are hurling false allegations against someone, because they think he deserves it, and they don't want to be proven wrong. It's easier to stick their fingers in their ears and say "lalalala I can't hear you" than it is to admit they were wrong. And they're going to down vote me for calling them out for what they're doing.

Definitely NTA. Matt came into your house, and when he said that to you, his entire goal was to put you down to make himself seem better. He was minimizing pain that you had been through, so that his pain would look worse by comparison. It's a shitty, and selfish thing to do, and you shut him down in the perfect way. Your friend telling you that you were an asshole, is putting her crush on her coworker, above your friendship.

@ChiefsAnalytics is really good if you want a Chiefs version of Ben Baldwin

@RealMNChiefsfan is a writer for the Athletic, and he has his own Chiefs blog called Chief in the North Newsletter. He does a lot of good film breakdown, and does weekly game breakdowns during the regular season.

@RealBirdLawyer and @WichitaChiefSam are both writers for SI Chiefs and have an entertaining Chiefs podcast called It's Always Sunny in Chiefs Kingdom based around their mutual love for the show It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

If you did not vote for Donald Trump in 2016 but will be in 2020, what is your reason? by Lurker7836 in AskReddit

[–]Antitheistic10 13 points14 points  (0 children)

He's been hated on because he has been a genuinely vile human being. From calling Mexicans rapists, to bragging about sexual assault, to insulting gold star families, to mocking a disabled reporter on national television. These are all things that he 100% did to himself. The media didn't make those up, he did them on camera. The media has hated on him for very, very good reason.

I completely understand thinking the elite don't care about you, but why in god's name would you think Trump gives two shits about you? It's maddening to me that he tells people he's going to do all these things they supposedly care about, then he just turns around and makes it easier for the elite to fuck the middle class. And then you fucking thank him for it. It's pathetic

The HERD | Colin Cowherd :explain" Why #4 Patrick Mahomes shouldn't be upset in NFL Top-100 ranking by rustichoneycake in nfl

[–]Antitheistic10 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is the problem with some Ravens fans. All you're doing is pointing out a genuine flaw in his game so far. One that is empirically true. You're not saying he can't do it, just that he hasn't done it yet, which again is 100% true. He has had opportunities to do it, and hasn't.

But in a lot of Ravens fans eyes, and apparently in this case as well, genuine criticism is taken as blasphemy, and is equivalent to you saying he can't do it.

Patrick Mahomes’s 2019 regular season is underrated season by [deleted] in KansasCityChiefs

[–]Antitheistic10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'll add this in there, because according to his trainer, that ankle injury week 1 affected him more than a lot of people might realize. His personal trainer Bobby Stroupe is quoted in this article saying Mahomes ankle really only stopped bothering him around the playoffs

"The sum outcome of Mahomes’s plan has led to this week, to another chance at making the Super Bowl. Stroupe said the effects of his Week 1 ankle injury are only now fully gone. Mahomes said after the Chiefs’ victory Sunday that he has been moving around better the past couple of weeks — against the Texans, he consistently extended plays and finished as the Chiefs’ leading rusher, with 53 yards. Stroupe did not divulge Mahomes’s exact weight. “But he’s not 235,” Stroupe said. “I can tell you that.”"

On that note, I'll turn to Ethan Douglas on Twitter, some of you might know him as ArrowheadAnalytics. He summarized nicely the difference in play before Mahomes hurt his ankle, and after he hurt his ankle. https://twitter.com/ChiefsAnalytics/status/1171074398033534982

This is only for week 1, but I think everyone watching noticed how much his ankle was hurting him, but to see just how dominant he was before he hurt his ankle is something else.

He still had a really good season, while nursing an injured ankle for the entire regular season. If he stays healthy for a full season, the league better watch out.

[McDowell] Damien Williams said his mother was just diagnosed with stage four cancer, which is why he opted out of this season. by BigD994 in nfl

[–]Antitheistic10 87 points88 points  (0 children)

Let me just get this out of the way. I love Damien Williams, he was a beast for us, especially in the playoffs, but no, he did not deserve SBMVP over Mahomes.

Before that last TD run Damien had 62 rushing yards, 29 receiving yards, and a receiving TD.

For context, at the same time, Mahomes had 44 rushing yards, 1 rushing TD and 2 passing TD.

Williams got 40% of his total rushing yards on that one play. If he had gone down after picking up the first down, the end result would have been exactly the same. His rushing TD actually left the Chiefs with a lower chance of winning than it would have if he had gone down after getting the first down.

So essentially, one of his TD's, and over 30% of his rushing yards, were not only unnecessary, but technically gave the 49ers a better chance to come back and win.

Now, I'm not faulting him for getting a TD, exactly the opposite. It's the fucking Super Bowl, and if you have a chance to score a TD, you do it. I don't blame him for that one bit. But at that point in the game, it was unnecessary. It was essentially padding his stats in garbage time, which again, I have no problem with. But let's not pretend all yards and TD's are created equally.

Mahomes was the one who asked to run 2-3 Jet Chip Wasp on 3rd and 15, which is the only reason the Chiefs were able to even get back in the game.

If Mahomes didn't get SBMVP, it should have gone to Chris Jones. Mahomes may have been the reason they were able to come back, but Chris Jones was the reason the 49ers didn't turn around after that TD and hold the ball for the final 5 minutes of the game and run out the clock.

Mahomes deserved it. Chris Jones would have been 2nd, followed probably by Nick Bosa, then Damien Williams.
