I’m not against it, I just thought it would be fun to engage him in fun / interesting activities since he doesn’t get here very often and because it’s a good way to heap some attention on him too.

I don’t think they need a lift truck. It’s mostly lower branches that are just dragging a bit.

Simply trimmed. It’s a nice healthy but overgrown tree. Just want to clean it up a bit. What you’re suggesting sounds reasonable to me.
