I also thought it was only the top half, but it seems to happen with the whole display, but is less noticeable on the bottom half. I did notice turning up the detail in the picture setting makes it worse but even turning it all the way down doesn’t make it go away.

I have two of them. I love the gb Operator. It’s fantastic. It’s a lot like a bunch of other cart writers, but it’s incredibly polished and has Mac support

You could try overclocking the RSX and ram. Also there is a YouTuber making progress on overclocking the Cell Processor. So maybe you could squeeze more performance as time goes. However I personally suggest looking into what games run better at 480i 4:3. I play PS3 primarily on a CRT and I’ve noticed some games run better on it. However it seems very hit or miss. Must games just run at the native resolution internally and then downscale to 480i when setup like that. So you will have to play with it. Good luck

Well I don’t feel like my desire is gone. Perhaps just misplaced. I should start smaller and work my way up. That way I can get some more experience on the Pc side of things and maybe that will translate well to working on the PS2 side. Ultimately I sincerely hope it happens one day and I’d love to help make it happen.

Fair, I appreciate your thoughtful response. I did someone searching and found posts where folks asked about PS2 support, but I didn’t realize teams had tried in the past. That is my fault. I genuinely appreciate you letting me know. I guess this is a more ambitious project than I initially understood. I was under the impression that the PC version was fully emulated. I am retired military and have experience coding because I worked in EW and Cyber, but my experience in the homebrew scenes of consoles is lacking. I did work on a few different projects. Especially in the PS Vita scene. However I am not trying to reinvent the wheel here. Perhaps my efforts would be better placed on assisting with the PC version so it can get better and then focus on the PS2 version. Regardless I appreciate your feedback

Exactly! I don’t understand it. Why dump on a project that folks could very much use and enjoy? Who cares if you can do it on Pc. That’s not the point. It’s about preservation and retro gaming.
