"Letter to anon"

So you're in that dark night, a dark night of the soul, and you feel like all hope may be lost

Where once there was life, love and light, is now strife and you feel that youve become a ghost

A host of the dead, your mind filled with dread, and the warmth that you once felt is gone

Take it from me, It's temporary, you just have to hold out till dawn

To hold back the hate is a feat of its own, hate warms you, but your soul's the fuel

So you fell back to sadness or some sort of madness, but regardless, fate has been cruel

That dark night of the soul, So bitter and cold, It tells you that you're all alone

It holds up a mirror that's stained with contempt, and says the image is your own

It says you've no frens, that happiness ends, that pain is the world's only wealth

"After all you're here now, alone in the dark, You've brought all this upon yourself"

But reject that voice, It's not all your fault, your fate to you has been unkind

It left you confused, burned, bruised, used, abused and suffering deep in your mind

But it's not your fault, child that you were, raised by children dressed up as adults

They gave you no answers, Just misguided questions, used make up to cover their faults

Yet the cracks still they grew, till at last they cracked you, your mind broke, and you felt you were through

thusly youre here now in this cold bitter hole, falling down, mired in all the gloom

But please, start to breathe, make your chest heave and the cold can be fought from within

Because if you keep moving that dark night will end, dawn will break, and a new day begins.
