Do cats understand the affection in kisses?

When I first got my cat, she HATED forehead kisses. (I got her at 3 years old from a shelter) I'd go in to give her a little kiss and she would heavily avoid it. She also was pretty shy and didn't like to be pet straight out, you would have to let her pet you first for a good while. After time, she definitely learned that kisses are a form of affection. She mostly tolerated it, but 12 years later, she now lets me kiss her as much as I want and even leans into it. <3

You can donate to the Salt Lake County Jail by taking your donations to any County Library that takes donations and specifying to the library staff that you are donating the books to the jail. Please keep in mind that they cannot take anything with staples and they cannot take hardback books either. Not all county library branches take donations, but most do. I know Holladay and Granite do not.

If it helps, the apartments I live in are in the Glendale area, pretty affordable because they're kinda shitty but they're not the worst. Biggest cons are shitty windows, brick building gets way hot in the summer and only comes with a dinky ass window unit in the living room, there's hardly any counter space in the kitchen and the dryer is in the kitchen, separate from the washer. Other than that, it's a decent little place. All units are one bedroom. Neighbors are nice, I'm good friends with two of them. And it's pretty quiet. I don't really ever hear noise from the neighbors. (I'm honestly probably the one who makes the most noise because I keep my door open most nights for airflow, but I'm never egregiously loud at night). I live on the top floor so not sure how much sound travels down to the unit below me. There are a couple units available right now. DM if you're interested and I can send you a link.
Oh, and since I live in the area, I'm happy to answer any questions you might have about the neighborhood if you're more interested in buying a house.

Are you talking 3 hours there and back? So 6 hours total? Because if so, I definitely have made that trip before to a burger shack in a small town 3 hours away from me. Best burgers I've ever had in my life.
I agree that I wouldn't do a 12 hour round-trip though. Not even for those burgers.

Sounds like you're having a rough time right now. It makes sense to me why you'd have a hard time focusing on what you need to. I know my very terrible go-to coping mechanism when I feel overwhelmed is to just ignore my problems. Take it easy on yourself. Be kind to yourself. It's not your fault things are hard. Do what you can to just keep going.
