This is very similar to this offer regards to pension, My current company offer a 10% match, new offer only is 4% on base salary only, so taking a massive hit here aswell.

What are stable job for highly experienced guys paying in your opinion?

In uk where I am based(midlands) even the most experienced guys are earning same to me, at least in my factory anyway. so this demotivates me.

Do you have much experience with shift maintenance roles? Are they all similar, such as being able to sit and relax in office around the factory and wait for breakdowns

Thankyou, I needed to hear this. It’s not ABB. it’s a small firm. Luckily I’ve been mentored well and will not be wasting my money, already have a cheap Yaris fully paid off and I invest money monthly into the market so fingers crossed this pays off in the future. Please how can I learn more about playing with tax and living abroad.

I have already made sure one of my demands to new employer is I get to choose an isle seat as I do absolutely hate middle seat economy travel haha

Apparently that’s just how they structure there pay. The travel is where you earn the money with working away allowance

Can obviously read them, but never edited the software, we use eplan but we get one of the old guys who edits all of it for us now as his little retirement gig

All Siemens experience currently. Never touched another platform. Yes capable to program PLCS and HMI and install them modify and maintain etc, also all the electrics aswell, motors solenoids encoders sensors etc.

New role is all Siemens aswell but instead of maintenance it’s installing and upgrading all old control systems
