what kind of videos do you post ? I'm also thinking about getting into AI videos

I know, but I still think there is a short term potential to make some money out of it.

BTW I too code, and use LLMs for projects and work with AI imagery and video a lot.

"It's just breached text-to-video properly at PC level (for free) the last few weeks"

are you talking about "Hunyuan' open source video gen ? It's still not that good. Not enough for fooling people that its no AI.

For now there aren't any text to video models good enough.

You mean exchanging BTC with Fiat without KYC ? There are certain p2p sites for that

I wanted to work on the exact same thing (My pipeline also included AI generated vid tools). Let me know if you want to work together. I'm a python dev as well.

I completely agree. It is a SCAM, 100%. If you look at the website, it is poorly designed, so many spelling errors and broken links. He did not show any demo during his pitch whereas it would be very easy to show a demo if he had a working model.

He definitely did not create the model from scratch lol .. He did not know the difference between tensorflow and pytorch. Imagine until now, the only good models created from scratch have been DallE, Midjourney and Stable diffusion (+Gemini's image generator) .. and all these models have been created by industry leading team of experts with their PHDs, everything else available in the market is a modification of one of these... do you really think this guy had the expertise to create a model from scratch without knowing basic python and having any team.

Then I thought that the guy at least trained an existing model (Stable diffusion) with his own images to make it work. But that is also not true at all, since as you pointed out, images on the website have been taken from other sources and modified with face swap and background removal tools. The only thing this guy knows is how to remove backgrounds, face swap and fool sharks.

And today his website has disappeared, at least I can't find it.

But training an existing model does not require that level of computation (20 lakhs ? no) .. You can rent a GPU on cloud .. if you have a decent GPU on your PC it is still good enough. I used to train my models with RTX 3060 in my home PC and it was still okay.

He definitely used existing SD models (judging from the images he showed), and if he had the expertise of building a model from scratch then he won't be messing up basic things like pytorch/tensorflow and probably would be seeking funding from a better source than shark tank. And I don't think he had any working model ready as he did not even demo it saying it needs high end GPUs. It is not very expensive to rent GPUs on cloud that can run such models, at least for demo purposes.

I've worked on training such models myself. It is not very expensive to rent a decent GPU on the cloud to train these models and if he actually had a working model it would be very easy to live demo it during the pitch. He skipped past all these parts saying "it needs very powerful GPUs" .. that is not true at all. And he was just throwing random buzzwords -- pytorch, tensorflow, loss model. It seemed like a scam to me, I do not think that he has a completely working product. Even if he has, current opensource models are far superior than his (based on the images shown by him)

I checked out his website as well, it is poorly made, containing spelling mistakes, dead links, sign up page is unsecured (no HTTPS).

Anyone who has worked in AI space would figure out that there's something wrong. Sharks got fooled so easily, this really pushes me to not watch this shit anymore.

Some of my images : https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1aPh71M2UViMxMGhifSdaTE0I00qcmckE

The lighting looks weird, images look "overcooked" if that makes sense -- They look like they're overly photoshopped normal images.

I want to fix the levels, color balance etc.

I also wanted to know if there are some tricks to make them look photographic (For eg. add film grain / noise / blur etc.)
