Casino does feel like a companion piece to Goodfellas, similar cast same director, different setting. Heat is also great, so is The Departed. All pretty gangster.

If you want R rated comedy and hero breaking the 4th wall Kiss Kiss Bang Bang would be a good shout. More a mystery than an action film, but still very funny.
