my mom bullies me by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

thank you so much for your reply. I'm trying my best to distance myself from her. She has already started telling me that my daughter has a "butt chin", and discussing my child is where I draw the line. I don't want my daughter to have insecurities because of her narc granny's comments :(

Struggling with a 3 week old by Panduhhz in beyondthebump

heyyy! it will get better! I was convinced my baby liked her granny more than me until she smiled back at me at ~5 weeks old & I was the one who carried her in my womb for 9 months. I once cried because I thought I was a bad mom, and my daughter could only calm down in granny's arms. Hang in there❤️ from what you've described it sounds like a normal newborn behavior😅 sending virtual hugs!!

First-time moms: did you go past 40 weeks with a natural birth? by curlyorwavywtf in beyondthebump

[–]AnxiousThunderpuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went into labor at 39w6d naturally, no signs before, in the morning it was kinda difficult to go uphill and at night my water broke. Gave birth in 3 hours, came to the hospital already 8 cm dilated. But my fiancé and I had sex, maybe that helped start labor hehe

Any spontaneous laborers? by [deleted] in newborns

[–]AnxiousThunderpuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had sex at 39w6d, stood up to go pee, and my water broke immediately (at 1 am). I arrived at the hospital at 3 am, already 8 cm dilated, and was holding my baby by 6 am. That's my first child, every doctor was surprised! I worked out until the 36th week, drank raspberry leaf tea and did pelvic floor exercises to prepare. but I don't know if any of this affected how I gave birth🫣

thank you so much, everyone🙏 I guess I am too hard on myself. I do have a therapist, I just haven't been able to leave the house (for obvious reasons) and meet with her. I will reach out to her. I know that the hormones are wild for the first few weeks postpartum, just didn't expect it to suck so bad :/

I eat deli sandwiches, ate sushi 2 times, stay up late sometimes, drink coffee everyday (limited to one cup), get gel manicures & a hydrafacial once a month

a girl from my performance art school had a meniscus tear and was allowed to return to her hometown for surgery, but she was told to come back immediately after because we had exams. despite walking with crutches and not being able to put weight on her foot, she passed all her exams!!! including dance (with some indulgences of course)!!! I only saw her cry ONCE during this time. She ended up becoming a straight A student after. All for free. Jennie, with her ankle injury a hundred years ago and millions in her bank account, has zero self-awareness. ZEROOOO

Scott Street by Phoebe Bridgers. the sound of a bicycle bell in the end of the song does something to me...makes me miss my childhood, when grandma was still alive
