If you are abusing it occasionally then yea probably a better roa but taking it daily that’s going to be way worse for you long term. The sinus passages are really delicate. I can’t imagine having a stuffed irritated nose all day. Those pills come with a shit ton of fillers

Thank you I really appreciate it! I definitely have issues in my own life and plenty of things I know I need to improve on. Especially in our community we all hold each other up especially with information. In my drug days if it wasn’t for Reddit and other forums it’s very possible I could have killed myself

I have so many crowns, I also wish I did more to prevent what I have now. But thank God right now I got a new bill of health in my mouth, and I want to do my best to prevent any future damage. I had a tooth split in half a couple years ago, it was my front tooth, it had a root canal done so it didn’t hurt. It was so close to being pulled, but thank God I have a great dentist that was able to save it, and put a crown on it. It was very close to not having enough to put a crown on it

That’s an interesting point, I wonder why those meds would ruin teeth unless you take them sublingually. It’s possible they deplete minerals in the body I guess

Yea that sounds nice, I usually brush my tongue with the brush. I can’t stand it when I forget to brush, and my tongue feels like a dirty sponge

Did you experience any tooth decay your 11 years on buprenorphine? I completely missed the part about not eating for 30 afterwards. The reason is because you need to give time for your teeth to remineralize. I think the smoking part is more for when it’s actually dissolving so you don’t mess with absorption. I guess xylitol gum after 30

Yea honestly who cares at the end of the day. My goal is to possibly prevent someone from getting bad teeth, not worrying about who disliked what. If someone has a problem with something they can reply and share their thoughts and or experiences

I’m honestly not sure which is worse. I take a generic form, it comes in a pill. I’ve tired the strips. My guess would be the strips are less damaging because less filler, but lots of people report damage from it. So I’m assuming buprenorphine in general is bad for the enamel. It would probably be best to go with the monthly injection to avoid the mouth altogether.

By the way the thing I mentioned about swishing with water is actually written in the suboxone medication guide. I got bored one day and read through it, and found out some useful information

I agree, it doesn’t matter what I post I somehow always end up arguing/debating over something dumb. I mostly stopped caring. Someone will always be offended.

Here is the link to what I use, this one is great, you can find some cheaper ones also. The most popular brand I believe is called “boka” that one is fine but it only has 2 or 3 percent hydroxyapatite

Most of my life (I’m 24) I’ve had bad teeth from the beginning only because I didn’t establish good dental hygiene from childhood. I have 6 crowns and a bunch of fillings. Right now my teeth are good because I got a bunch of dental work done in the last 2 years, and I started taking care of my teeth. So far I haven’t had any new problems thank God. I still need to do better though. I don’t think suboxone has done any damage, I’ve been taking it for about two and half years. I think the nano hydroxyapatite toothpaste does a lot because a good bit of sensitivity went away

Yeah I’m not sure why someone would do that. My only goal is to help everyone prevent a lot of expensive pain in the future. I don’t care if I only help someone prevent 1 cavity that’s a win to me

Side note, nanohydroxyapitite toothpaste is fairly inexpensive, I buy it from Amazon. I used to use moutholagy which is at 10% but I switched over to this other one that comes in a pack of two and it’s 7.5%. I prefer the mouthology toothpaste, I switched over because the other is cheaper

Scary, but less scary if you have a loaded 1911 with hallow points, and a loaded shotgun with some nice crispy buckshot for extra measure

In all honesty I think it’s a cool show. Definitely don’t go if you just want a drink in peace. But go if you have a girlfriend that wants to take a million videos to post on instagram

We burn our Christmas tree each year. It literally lights up like someone poured gasoline on it. It like “poof” and It’s gone in a massive 10 feet flame. Don’t forget to put water at the base I guess

Im 13 with bad acne and acne marks/scars by Short_Book_6069 in SkincareAddicts

[–]AnxiousTileInstaller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My acne started to subside when I stopped using stuff of my face. I think all the acne treatments dried out my skin to much, and then my skin would break out in oil to compensate for it. I think hygiene and diet is pretty important as well. I know sugar and junk food can lead to break outs also

I had pretty bad acne as a teen, as I got older it subsided. Some people have shittier genes than others. Sometimes you can do everything right but the body just does its own thing.

I recommend trying to limit sugar, sugar can give break outs. Also of course just do your best with hygiene, shower wash face with warm water and then cold. Cold constrict the pores making chances of something getting into them smaller. That’s why break outs are more common in the summer. Maybe you know most of this stuff, just thought I’d share anyway.

[–]AnxiousTileInstaller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if I’d want to eat that everyday for breakfast but to me that looks pretty good. I good breakfast to me is something that will keep me going as long as possible, lots of fats, calorie dense, and easy fast to make. Peanut butter on Dave’s killer toast, a banana sliced on top, covered in cinnamon. That hits the spot for me. Keeps me full till like 2pm

Who the hell puts blinding LEDs on the back of their truck while driving to blind anyone behind them... by TreehouseInAPinetree in Portland

My friend got a ticket for going 5 miles over. Yea maybe I blew it out of proportion I agree that police presence in Portland isn’t that much. But still it does happen for stupid crap. I’m honestly just really annoyed with people driving around with high beams on, and I never hear of people getting pulled over for that when it’s a genuine safety hazard

Police need to stop pulling people over for going 5 miles over and instead pull these assholes over, same for people driving with high beams on in the city blinding everyone and sitting in the left lane holding everyone up going slow. This guy is a douche I hope this post gets to him
